24.01.2022 A few photos from Pony preschool, the little ones are so adorable with so much enthusiasm Pony preschool is for preschool aged children and is conducted every Wednesday, full of games and learning. The parents get to learn how to lead and handle the ponies so is a great way to get into horses under instruction with good quiet ponies. 17.01.2022 What is it that you would like to achieve with your horse riding? So often hear people say oh I couldn’t do that when I ask what they would really like to do with their riding. Well I am here to say if you get the right instructor you will be amazed how quickly you can move up the levels in riding.... So here is MY standard. Within 12 lessons on one of my school horses I would expect a rider to be able to walk, trot and canter, roll back, change direction and rising and sitting trot. Understand flexion, correct bend, be able to do a one rein stop and ride with with an independent seat. Take a moment to watch this video, in the beginning the little roan horse is restless and moving about a lot and then when Jennifer connects her breathing and heart with Spark the palomino everything gets very quiet. When we work with the inside of a horse, on a heart based level this is where the true magic can happen.... Happy horsemanship!

I have felt the Hunter Valley has needed an adult riding club where riders can come together and get quality instruction in different disciplines with a variety of coaches, so next year we are pleased to announce Mountain View Equestrian Park will be running training days and events. Our first training days will be an introduction to cattle working clinics we will have classes for both adults and children. ... If you are looking to get your horse started on cattle these days will be starting right at the start in a low stress way where horses and riders can go at their own pace to build confidence in themselves and their horse. Working equitation riders who are wanting to get experience in phase four are invited. Riders wanting to get experience for team penning or Ranch sorting would also benefit. Working cattle can help your horses confidence and education. If you have ideas on events or clinics you would like to attend here in the Hunter please feel free to let us know. 05.01.2022 So proud of this young lady and home bred horse Shimmer. Jas started having lessons with me when she was around nine years old, and worked her way successfully through the junior ranks, in eventing and showjumping and now having finished her HSC she is now out and about riding again. So glad you had a great weekend at your first jumping training day with Shimmer, he looked confident and you rode him beautifully. Well done Jas you make me a very proud coach
