17.01.2022 Lockdown has inspired a further escape into the ethereal and unreal world of under the ocean. This large #oceaninspiredpainting looks quite abstract, but remembering back to my past experiences diving, it is actually quite abstract down there in places, leaving the imagination of the artist free to play with marks and layers that hint at the amazing diversity of the underneath world of the ocean. This #mixed media painting employs many layers of inks and acrylics and varnishes, onto a large gessoed yupo panel. It takes a few weeks as each layer has to dry and unlike traditional watercolour paper, the liquid is not rapidly absorbed, it has to evaporate and make it's amazing marks as it does so. https://buff.ly/3ipQMdC

13.01.2022 I don't always add a floating frame to my canvases to exhibit and sell them. I do prefer that they end up in one, as it adds such a beautiful modern level of sophistication and protects them too. The main reason that I prefer that the frame tonings/finish are left until the work is purchased is because the client then has an opportunity to choose from several frame finishes, some of which they may prefer within their own decor. I mostly work in standard canvas sizes as well, so frames that are added for display can be swapped easily if required.

01.01.2022 I have one original ink and acrylic painting from the Camouflage series left at the stockrooms, it is vibrant, ethereal and framed in a white floating frame. Currently, due to plans to relocate my gallery, needing to clear stock due to less space in new location, is (and others) available at half of pre-covid value.
