25.01.2022 Could you use some FIGS, RASPBERRIES, PEACHES, PLUMS or RHUBARB? Just visit the BAROSSA fARMERS MARKET SITE for my phone number to provide you with a smooth sale by drive through from our premises. The virus may have closed the market but the fruit keeps on being produced and there is plenty of it. Visit the BFM site on line and take advantage of the list of myself and other stallholders willing to keep you supplied.

24.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing you all at the Barossa Farmers Market tomorrow morning. Warm tho it will be, I plan to be there with BLACK SEEDLESS TABLE GRAPES, RASPBERRIES, (including frozen one for jam), SWEET CORN, APPLE CUCUMBERS (ones that are never bitter), RHUBARB and WORM TEA (great for giving the the pot plants a treat).

23.01.2022 Looking forward to a chilly FIRST BAROSSA FARMERS MARKET new format tomorrow morning. Thank you to all our faithful customers who have come on board with the new format. Besides the current supplyof fresh RASPBERRIES (the season ends in about 3 weeks, with supply tapering off) and RASPBERRY JAM, and FIG CHIPS, I have a limited supply of FROZEN RASPBERRIES, and a supply of delicious FIGS for about the following 2 weeks. RHUBARB will also be in plentiful from now and throughout the winter. Another of my favourites is DEHYDRATED RHUBARB, which takes out the time needed for preparation, as it reconstitutes well and has many other uses. Look forward to supplying these extras - wishing you a healthy winter season - it seems to be keen to start with this influx of cold conditions. See you tomorrow.

22.01.2022 So that's it. I picked my last 200g of RASPBERRIES and took the nets off on Saturday. The BIRDS are delighted. I have black-faced cuckoo-shrikes, wattle birds, spoggies, parrots and a host of others I miss all coming to visit to see what is left. And yes, there is still a lot forming and the plants are still flowering. But till about November I will be relying on my FROZEN RASPBERRIES (call if you would like some), for smoothies, desserts and baking, while my RASPBERRY JAM will be back as soon as you want - I have plenty available for any who would like to make an order. Send me a text or an email. I also have an abundance of RHUBARB which is doing very well. To all my loyal customers, have a great winter and keep visiting our lovely BFM.

20.01.2022 Such a windy day to be picking RASPBERRIES. The season is coming to an end soon, there will be less available than usual over the next 3 weeks. Please pre-order and prepay if you want to get in on the last of them. I will be providing plenty of delicious RHUBARB at the BFM on Saturday morning. This will be available at $5 per 400g bunch, but I also have stocks of the DEHYDRATED RHUBARB, the same quantity equivalent, for $6 per packet, and you get to save all that time prepar...ing it, cutting it up and it keeps for years in the sealed package. My sulphur free dehydrated FIG CHIPS are still available at $4 per 50g. These make a great party plate together with walnuts, avocado and dips. Believe it or not, I am still picking FRESH FIGS - these are available for $4.oo per box or $11 per kg. If you missed out on making RASPBERRY JAM this year, don't despair. I have plenty available, or if you want to make some of your own, I also have plenty of FROZEN RASPBERRIES to purchase. See you at the BAROSSA FARMERS MARKET this Saturday morning. Rug up! Winter is knocking at the dooor. See more

17.01.2022 So today was my last day at the Barossa Farmers Market till fruit is available again early n3xt year or maybe late this year if there are lots of cherries. I will miss the customer contact but not the winter early starts complete with with 2degree starts, as it was this morning. Look forward to being back next week as a customer. Raspberries are finishing, figs are nearly done but Rhubarb is flourishing and I still have plenty of frozen raspberries and jam. Send me a message or email at [email protected].

15.01.2022 If you are looking for RASPBERRIES, RASPBERRY JAM and other goodies previously mentioned, you will find me at BAROSSA FARMERS MARKET, in a different location tomorrow. I will be at the end of the aisle facing Steiny's smallgoods and metwurst. Just look for the two wine barrels either side of the aisle. I have a lovely batch of fruit and I'd love to see you there tomorrow morning.

15.01.2022 Despite our social isolation, this has not affected our produce. During this past week we enjoyed the opportunity to send out FIGS, RASPBERRIES, PEACHES and PLUMS. The social media is a boon in reaching out to our friends and neighbors- especially the more vulnerable ones. And then there is a fresh air walk. There's plenty of that this weekend . . . Brisk to say the least.

14.01.2022 RAIN, RAIN, RAIN. It was wonderful yesterday. I couldn't get out to pick the raspberries. You would be amazed to see what that rain did for them. I thought they would be mush but instead, they were so perfect, big and ripe I managed to pick nearly 1kg today. And few insect attacks. It was pure pleasure. If you like RASPBERRIES, get on the BAROSSA FARMERS MARKET site and look me up. You won't be disappointed in the quality of these beauties. You can call me and place an order.... I practice social distancing so you can collect your order without any human contact. I thought the season was coming to an end, but the plants are flourishing. I have the same thing to say about the FIGS. They are just DELICIOUS and in good supply. I also have a late peach which is a clingstone and although they are small, these are also very nice. They preserve well and the colour of these is very appealing in the jar and it stays bright for more than 12 months. My raspberries are $5 for 100g or $12.00 for 250g. Figs are $11 per Kg, peaches $7 per kg. I also have RASPBERRY JAM, FIG CHIPS and plenty of RHUBARB available. See more

14.01.2022 Back again, the fruit season has finally been kind to us. I will be bringing RASPBERRIES to the Barossa Farmers Market this Saturday, along with peaches, plums,... rhubarb and my SULPHUR FREE DEHYDRATED FRUITS and VEGETABLES. Look forward to seeing you at the BAROSSA FARMERS MARKET on Saturday morning. See more

13.01.2022 I’m planning a big weekend for the dehydrator. The RHUBARB patch has literally gone crazy since I did a weed-out of all the old stalks a few weeks ago. Since then it’s had no fertiliser and none of the usual goodies it usually receives from me at this time when it’s growing. BUT, it has had the hand of the Master Gardener upon it in the form of RAIN! Just look at these Cherry Red stalks. About half of the bed has been picked so there are still kilos of fresh stalks availab...le. I decided to measure one of the stalks and discovered it’s length to be 50cm! Each 400g of fresh rhubarb produces 20g of dehydrated product. It is an amazing fruit because it stays fresh (once dried) for years, and reconstitutes very well when stewed with apple. Some of my BFM (Barossa Farmers Market) customers buy it to take camping because it’s very portable and others have said they sprinkle it on their muesli. I hope to be back at the market in November but if you want some now you can contact me on my Jenni’s Produce site. See more

12.01.2022 Hey everyone, did you see the BFM email about pick up and delivery service? I am enjoying one of the most productive times for RASPBERRIES and FIGS and CLINGSTONE PEACHES, (great for eating and preserving) at the moment. I am on the website and you can place an order by phoning me and I am able to provide a PICK UP service from here in PENRice. This is a contactless evemt and adheres to all social distancing protocols - customers are able to drive in, collect produce ordered, leave correct money and drive out. Feel free to call and place an order.

09.01.2022 Well, it's been a few weeks since my last stall, but now the KIRKMAN PEACHES have come out in force. They are delicious. We are each eating about 4 per day, and they are really large. The FIGS are also in full swing at the moment and I hope to see you there on Saturday morning with some of these.

07.01.2022 We are looking forward to a lovely day for an outdoor Barossa Farmers Market tomorrow. I will be near the entrance to the shed with my RASPBERRIES, RHUBARB, PRUNE PLUMS, NARABEEN PLUMS, FIGS and FREESTONE PEACHES, which are all most delicious. The wind this week has reduced the number of RASPBERRIES I am able to bring but they will still be available for the earlybirds. I also have kilograms of FROZEN RASPBERRIES in preparation for making RASPBERRY JAM which I will also be br...inging. The FROZEN RASPBERRIES are half the price of the fresh, and have been sorted. This past week has been a challenge due to a rogue kangaroo buck which thinks the orchard is his own personal property. This makes picking fruit hazardous, so if you have any ideas on how to scare them away (they are not deterred by our presence) please let me know. I still have some SULPHUR FREE dried fruits available also, but due to our health restrictions we are not allowed to provide samples for tasting. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow at the Barossa FARMERS MARKET. See more

07.01.2022 Some delightful weather ahead in the foreseeable future. Today was no exception. More time spent at home means more fruit picking - today it was FIGS and RASPBERRIES. They just keep coming. The canes which produced raspberry fruit early in the season are drying off but new growth is constantly popping through and each cane has a new head of flowers or developing buds of bunches of fruit. If you missed the opportunity to make FIG JAM or RASPBERRY JAM, I have plenty of both available. My fruit has been grown without harmful sprays and I always pick fruit wearing gloves to prevent contamination. You can get my number by going to the BAROSSA FARMERS MARKET site and look me up under JENNI'S PRODUCE. I am local, right here in Penrice.

06.01.2022 Plenty of FIGS, RASPBERRIES, PEACHES and RHUBARB this week. See the Leader Newspaper on Wednesday for my advert.

06.01.2022 We enjoyed a wonderful Angaston show on Saturday with weather of the superb kind. We are expecting a similar day this Saturday. I am pleased to announce that my RASPBERRIES won FIRST PRIZE at the Angaston show and this is for the third year in a row. I will be bringing them to the BAROSSA FARMERS MARKET this Saturday, together with PRUNE PLUMS, NARABEEN PLUMS, RHUBARB and possibly some PEACHES. I also have SULPHUR FREE DEHYDRATED FRUIT and VEGES, particularly FIG CHIPS and... RHUBARB, which is a boon for the camper or anyone who is short on time. My RASPBERRY JAM is also something to behold. There are tastings available for those who want to try it before buying. I will bring a supply of WORM TEA also for those who wish to treat their beloved plants. I look forward to seeing you Saturday morning at the BAROSSA FARMERS MARKET. See more

06.01.2022 Looking forward to a warm one at the Barossa Farmers Market tomorrow morning. I will be there with delicious black seedless table grapes, apple cucumbers (never bitter), sweetcorn, rhubarb, RASPBERRIES and worm tea, which is a great liquid fertilizer for the garden - especially pot plants. Look forward to seeing you there.

06.01.2022 What a great week for weather we've just had. My RASPBERRIES are still going strong and the Kirkman PEACEHS are just delicious. The FIGS have just begun and I will be bringing some of these to market tomorrow as well. Add to these, there will be PRUNE PLUMS, NARABEEN PLUMS and RHUBARB. I still have some SULPHUR FREE DRIED FRUIT and VEGETABLES available and also WORM TEA. Looking forward to seeing you at the BAROSSA FARMERS MARKET tomorrow morning.

05.01.2022 What absolutely glorious weather we have been enjoying this week. This will be our final stall for the next few months. Our water levels are critical, so we are praying for rain soon. Tomorrow I will be bringing fresh FIGS and SPANISH RED PEACHES, which were very popular last week. They are very good keepers and lovely and juicy. I will also bring a supply of FROZEN RASPBERRIES for those of you who want to make your own jam. I have several kgs of these and will sell them in batches of between 300g and 500g. Look forward to seeing you at the Barossa Farmers Market tomorrow morning.

04.01.2022 Well it's been almost a year since the raspberries behaved so nicely. Hope they will see YOU on Saturday at the BFM. My table should consist of fresh and frozen raspberries (just a few kg left), plus BEAUTIFUL RHUBARB, and the work of my worm farm - WORM TEA and WORM FERTILIZER. Hope to see you there at the BAROSSA FARMERS MARKET.
