23.01.2022 If you havent climbed a fence or a ladder in a wedding dress, are you really living your best life?? . These legends got married in #bremerbaywa and then took us on the #ultimatefarmtour of their incredible property in Gairdner. This was also they day I learnt that lying in a field of fully flowering yellow canola while dressed in black is probably not a mistake I need to make twice. I was very colourful by the reception. 23.01.2022 So, postponing a wedding really isnt fun, from experience. We all know 2020 has been a bit of a cluster and for a lot of couples, postponing their wedding has been a tough choice that they have had to make. Im not alone, and I have so so so much love for anyone else who has been planning a wedding in 2020. The uncertainty has been next level. Thanks #globalpandemic. Youve been ace. Between travel restrictions, gathering restrictions, social distancing, quarantine, cance...lled contracts, and the uncertainty of how long any or all of these things will go on for- the sheen definitely came off planning our big day. We have siblings both overseas and on the east coast. We went back and forth as to whether we could go forward with our planned October date And then, well Victoria #washyourhands If any of your friends are going through the process of postponing their big day, maybe avoid saying to them Just get married and have a party later Why? Because they have definitely already considered this. for monthsIf we (those of us planning weddings) wanted to elope, good chance we would have already done it. It is a good way to let your mates know that youre only in it for the free booze (and less for the ceremony and circumstance). Chances are, if your mates ARE rescheduling, its because they want the people who are the most special to them to witness one of the biggest days of their life. And yes, then party with them afterwards On a side note though, cutting a wedding guest list down is reaaally hard - this is one way to make it easier#dontbethatguy Weddings arent essential, you can get married any time... Yep. We know. And were in a global pandemic, we know this too. But we have been planning this day for months/ years. You can wait up to 12 months to find a date at some venues. Our wedding is kinda important to us. Telling us theyre not essential isnt suuuper helpful. #dontbeajerk But ... Some good things to things to say? 22.01.2022 Three cheers for 40 years! We are so excited to be celebrating our 40th anniversary in 2020. John and Forrest Woodbury started Woodbury Boston Primary School in... 1980. Their goal was to create an environment where the children were treated as individuals, where their varying educational needs and interests were met, and where they were treated with kindness and respect. That ethos is the same today. Keep your eyes peeled in 2021 we've delayed our 40th birthday celebrations until then (thank you, Covid-19). We can't wait to celebrate with our school community! 21.01.2022 Well July has been HUGE! Ive just finished up four major projects for clients and I couldnt be more ecstatic with the responses. Weve also had trips to Perth, and Gracetown, (along with a few to Denmark, Torbay and around the traps), August shoot spots are almost full, oh and we also had to reschedule our wedding #thankscovid in amongst all that (Ill post about that process soon). Ooooof! 20.01.2022 Sunrise at Niagara Dam, Kookynie 12 months apart. What a difference a year makes! Last year was the driest Id ever seen the dam. There hasnt been a huge amount of rain up there this year but it was just enough to get some water back in the dam. Not a bad place for a weeks camping! Not bad at all! Also: side note: were back. We had to cut our trip short a bit because of weather. (And honestly, we did 38 degrees and howling winds up there last year with a 6 month old, we... had very little desire to repeat it with a 17 month old!). Turns out my insta stories didnt upload for the last few days we were out there- let me know in the comments if youre keen to see them!

They trusted me to take them to some off the beaten track places and goodness, the weather delivered. .... Engagement/ Promise shoots give you a chance to practice, and relax in front of the camera, these guys did just that. 14.01.2022 If youre planning an outdoor wedding, Have you got a plan B? . #WesternAustralia is currently battening down for a pretty ugly storm expected to arrive tonight- it had me thinking... if youre planning your wedding, Do you have a plan B? How far ahead of your wedding do you need to activate that plan B? What happens if your garden reception is suddenly under threat of a once in a decade storm? . As an ex-weather girl, I give my couples a heads up on the forecast for their ...location throughout the week before their wedding, and typically weve been super lucky! A bit of rain the morning of your wedding day makes colours pop, washes the dirt off and anchors the dust. Umbrellas are awesome props for rainy photos, as are puddles- we make those work! Easy! . But have you looked into an alternative for your reception if the forecast is rain? Have you checked if your local hire has spare marquees, does your venue have an indoor space that you can adapt at short notice? Its well worth considering these options as you plan your day, and lead up to. Keep in mind your mate with the kick arse MacGyver skills who could rig up a Bunnings marquee over your dance floor while you guys are making yourselves pretty (looking at you @amanda_ormesher @mrormie - how good are those mates! ) Those mates are gold! (Oh and in case you were wondering @oldbroadwaterfarm has an epic undercover alternative- this place is a dream!) . Love to hear your Plan Bs, leave me a comment- currently compiling options . . 13.01.2022 Cheers! The WA government has just announced easing of restrictions, as of next Saturday we can have 100 people at weddings and events! Good work WA! (Next step over 100 and were back on track!) Pretty pumped that beauty salons, gyms and playgrounds can re open too! Time to get out and #supportlocal (and maybe work off some of the #isovibes Ive been accumulating thanks to a solid excuse not to gym )

Moments like this one STILL bring a tear to my eye. 08.01.2022 Today I received some beautifully printed photos from @fitziesfotos, and Im so pumped! There is something so satisfying seeing your favourite photos in print. (Check my story for my little squeal ) . I am #penguinobsessed - its who I am- you know I spent a year living and working in Antarctica as a weather girl right? #adeliepenguins are the clowns of the ice- they are ridiculous and hilarious and they make my heart sing even thinking of their antics. . Its only taken m...e ten years to get this photo onto my wall. (Friends have it on their walls, but my tiny munchkin needs to wake up to more penguins in his penguin filled room because- who doesnt!) Ill say it again for the people in the back row- #printyourphotos . PRINT THEM. Frame them. Hang them everywhere. You wont regret it and its an awesome way to preserve the really special memories and revel in their gloriousness (my word, feel free to use it ) every day! .
