24.01.2022 Such a privilege to work with an organisation like HAES Australia. The effort they have gone to in seeking feedback from a wide variety of stakeholders is impressive and will absolutely add value to the strategic planning process. Looking forward to progressing this further!

24.01.2022 There are still some places left for this workshop - together we will be Leaning in to our GREaT - A workshop for leaders; Gentle, Resilient, Empathic and Tenacious We’d love to see you!

23.01.2022 Congratulations to NZ, what an inspirational woman to lead your country. Jacinda’s reflection on being strong and kind rings absolutely true for me and is a key theme of my work with organisations, individuals and in our Conversations With The Curious workshops. My October blog (coming soon) is actually entitled Staying Kind and I look forward to sharing it with you very soon.

22.01.2022 July blog on mentoring up now growing into your gifts

21.01.2022 I have been thrilled to work with Michella over the past few months as she has been establishing her business, Learning With Me. As an exceptionally experienced educator and a leader with her own special brand of calm, quiet confidence, Michella supports children, parents and carers as well as other educators to enrich learning for children. Michella has the biggest passion for learning and it is absolutely infectious! Her personal warmth and gentle nature make her an absolutely special human and a delight to work alongside.

21.01.2022 In my consulting work I spend a significant amount of time talking about power and it’s misuse. Having just watched Athlete A, I strongly recommend it as essential viewing. This didn’t happen in the dark ages. It happened on our watch. And it isn’t isolated to the USA or Gymnastics. The misuse of power against women and girls reflected in this documentary is horrifying yet it is all too common. Watch it. Talk about it. Name it. Stop it.

21.01.2022 Go on, sing it loud Thank you Helen Reddy, RIP.

18.01.2022 An absolute privilege to work with HAES Australia on their strategic plan!

18.01.2022 I have space for some additional mentoring / external supervision clients and would love to hear from you if you're interested. All sessions are confidential, and currently conducted via Zoom. Some weekend and evening appointments are available in addition to weekday time slots. Whether it is for one session or a series, don't hesitate to get in touch for a chat. Recently some 'vouchers' for mentoring / external supervision have been purchased and gifted by women, to other ...women - and they have been very gratefully received. (If you know anyone who might value this type of gift, let me know and we can disucss!) A few themes have arisen in 1:1 work and group workshops lately, such as: - feelings of "being the only one" who thinks / behaves / "this" way; - belief-systems being challenged as "different" / "wrong" / "unwise"; - feelings of frustration about the 'systems' we work within, which are rigid, driven by fear or personal agenda, lacking transparency and justice; - concerns for career path, career aspiration vs current environment and - "imposter syndrome"; - many more. If you would like to have a confidential discussion, please get in touch. #mentoring #externalsupervision #headandheartleadership #jennyjacksonconsulting #womensupportingwomen #kindnessisnotaweakness #businessmentoring #leadershipdevelopment

18.01.2022 I have really enjoyed working with HAES Australia - it’s been stimulating, encouraging and exciting to work alongside such a passionate and empathetic group of talented individuals. Really looking forward to the next steps and seeing HAES Australia blossom further. If you’re interested in joining their membership, please have a look. Affordable and well worth it for the networks, experience and professional development you’ll be able to connect with.

17.01.2022 A few months ago I worked with Vivienne Ryan from Fibres of the Yarra Valley on a strategic plan. While Vivienne’s business is small, she is an exemplar of someone who set a goal, makes a plan and sticks to it. Today we had a Zoom catch up to check back in with how things are going and it was absolutely inspiring for me to see the detailed plans put in place by Vivienne and to see them bearing fruit for her. It was a pleasure to work with Vivienne and I am excited to see he...r launch her next set of ideas soon! And in the meantime (as a rookie knitter) I am putting my brave on to tackle some new knitting skills with some of her beautiful spun fibre! #strategicplansarenothingwithoutaction #fibresoftheyarravalley #plananddo #goals+plans=success See more

15.01.2022 A very good read, about an incredible woman. RIP RBG. I’ve said this before, but I really love her reflections on achieving real change.

15.01.2022 Our next Conversation With The Curious is coming up and we are going to deep dive into leadership - head and heart and living our values. Join us!

14.01.2022 I think this is my most favourite quote ever...

11.01.2022 As those of us in Victoria prepare for Stage 4 Restrictions, we express our love and support for everyone impacted by COVID-19. Most individuals and businesses will be feeling the strain and we think that being kind (to ourselves and each other) is the first and most important step. And, while being kind, businesses will be looking at ways to stay strong and in business. We offer these tips for business owners and hope that you find them helpful.... Tips for Getting Back to Basics for Business: - focus on COSTS. Focus on the detail of your expenses and trim those costs you don't need. Now is also a great time to be renegotiating with suppliers so give it a try. Remember to be kind, other businesses are feeling it too; - optimise your TIME and ENERGY by reducing the number of things you need to think about, by keeping your business as simple as you can. Remember to be kind to yourself; sleep well, eat well, exercise (within the restrictions of course!); - this is a good time to roll your sleeves up and really get to KNOW your business. Trust is good, but knowing is better! Remember, if you have staff, be kind to them - you aren't doubting them. - if OPPORTUNITY arises, make the most of it. People are getting used to the new way of working, shopping, seeking services etc and we, as business owners need to as well. - seek HELP and SUPPORT. You are not alone. #yarrarangesbusiness #bekinditisalwayspossible #planningandstrategy #covid-19 #dothebestyoucan

10.01.2022 I am delighted to call for EOI to join a very special Women's Leadership program in 2021! 09.01.2022 Congratulations to NZ, what an inspirational woman to lead your country. Jacinda’s reflection on being strong and kind rings absolutely true for me and is a key theme of my work with organisations, individuals and in our Conversations With The Curious workshops. My October blog (coming soon) is actually entitled Staying Kind and I look forward to sharing it with you very soon.

09.01.2022 Over the past few weeks a number of fabulous women have contacted me to arrange mentoring / external supervision, which is one of my most favourite and rewarding things to do! Being allowed in to this trusted space is an honour and one that warrants respect, care and empathy. Interestingly, some key themes have been emerging throughout these sessions: - the additional stress, pressures and challenges of the current lock-down and changing personal and professional circumstanc...es; - the feeling of being professionally 'stuck'; - "impostor syndrome"; and - those who are seeking congruence between their personal and professional values and those of the organisation where they work. While this quote (attached) is useful in the context of business planning, I think it is every bit as relevant in working towards personal and professional success and well-being. I use a number of simple and flexible planning tools and resources in mentoring / external supervision and find that these provide some 'scaffolding' for individuals to support their thinking, exploration and decision making. I still have some capacity for additional mentoring / external supervision clients, and have priced them with a recognition of the current financial strain many are facing. DM or email me at [email protected] for a confidential discussion.

09.01.2022 When I started this consulting business I didn't imagine I would be working with a business like Patrolapart, having worked all of my career in health and community sectors. Every consulting job starts with a meeting to determine "fit" and this meeting was a gem. I was absolutely stunned by the way in which this business has grown and to see the commitment to safety, accountability and development of systems for a sustainable future. Many businesses could take a leaf out of Patrolaparts book. Thrilled to be working alongside Robyn Doe Steuart, Paul A Steuart and the team on strategic planning, development of a range of frameworks and policies and procedures.

09.01.2022 Terrific to be working with HAES Australia on their strategic plan! They welcome feedback from Australian adults so please take a few minutes to complete the survey if you can.

08.01.2022 I am thrilled to be working with HAES Australia on their strategic plan. Although we have only recently started working together, I have known about HAES Australia for many years and admire their evidence-based work and effort. I am delighted to be working with such a professional and compassionate organisation and am really looking forward to undertaking the many aspects of this project. If you haven't heard of HAES Australia, I encourage you to take a look at their website and social media. #haesaustralia #strategicplanning #leaders #respecttheevidence #yarrarangesbusiness

08.01.2022 Mentoring / external supervision is an absolute privilege for me to facilitate and I leave the sessions feeling incredibly grateful for having the opportunity to do this work with such talented and amazing women. And then feedback like this, from one of my clients today, makes it even better... "So much to think about. Feeling hopeful, nourished and grateful. Thank you for creating a safe, thought-provoking space for me." #grateful #bestjobever #externalsupervision #mentoring

07.01.2022 Welcome to my October Blog Staying Kind

05.01.2022 RIP Ruth Bader Ginsburg - an utterly inspirational, fabulous, strong, soft, kind, gentle and resilient woman. My favourite quote of this remarkable woman is "real change, enduring change, happens one step at a time" and I couldn't agree more. We don't need it to be perfect before we start, we just need to start. A single, simple change is powerful... Start at the edges... Just start...

05.01.2022 I am proud to be working with HAES Australia on their first Strategic Plan. For anyone, in any sized body, I highly recommend taking a look at their work and advocacy as there’s something there for all of us.

04.01.2022 Conversations With The Curious (CWTC) #1 & #2 received fabulous feedback such as: "gently challenging" "safe and inclusive whilst challenging me to think deeper about my leadership style and how to get the best out of myself and others through kindness and clear leadership" "what a wonderful, intelligent and passionate group of women to talk with and learn from!" "these sessions have encouraged me to 'own' my strengths and I love the discussion about what is our own 'special... sauce'!" "please keep going" So, I am thrilled to have scheduled CWTC #3 which will draw on head and heart of leadership plus holding our values. Priced to be inclusive, $45 for 2 hours. Message / email me to book your place. Jen

03.01.2022 I have been absolutely blown away by the interest in the women's retreat workshop "Conversations With The Curious - Cambodia 2021" (dates TBC), so for those of you who have expressed interest (and those who might still want to do so), here is a gorgeous snippet of the primary venue for the workshops! Our beautiful friends Kol and Neath will be hosting us at their divine new hotel, William's Houses. Some of us will be accommodated at this petite, boutique hotel and others at n...eighbouring (equally gorgeous hotels). http://www.williamhouses.com/ We will talk, wine, dine, practice kindness, mindfulness and yoga and we will laugh, be curious and grow together. I am very excited... can you tell?? #womensupportingwomen #womensretreat #itwillbeveryspecial #jennyjacksonconsulting #conversationswiththecurious
