11.01.2022 Isolated and Separate, Yet Together and United. This new artwork I have just finished is my way of expressing what I feel is happening in our world at the moment. Even though we are all isolated in our homes, we are still together and united in our fight to beat this virus. We can still connect with one another during these frightening and challenging times, through a wave and a smile.....from a window. Nature’s canopy (the trees and the tree with the swings at the top of... my illustration) will keep us together and continue to be a place of reconnection throughout these uncertain times. 08.01.2022 It's the first day of winter here in the Southern Hemisphere and Mother Nature is certainly bringing us weather to match the meaning of the word "Winter".... It's snowing in the Alps! I Can't wait to put my snowshoes on and enjoy the solitude and serenity in the High Country this winter. Title: "Snowshoe Serenity" available from my website store as a greeting card and print.
07.01.2022 A new chapter is about to begin. Next week I am moving back to the mountains.....back to where I grew up. Back to my happy place in the heart of the Alpine National Park near the Bogong High Plains and the Kiewa Valley. A dream come true. After we have settled in to our new home, I will be beginning an exciting new series of artworks inspired by the Victorian High Country. Life is short. Follow your dreams. We are.
07.01.2022 I'm very excited to announce that I am a finalist in the Mission To Seafarers Maritime Art Prize with my artwork "Home is Where the Light Is"!! This is an international Art Prize with all artists submitting entries that must adhere to the theme "The relationship between humanity and the sea". https://missiontoseafarers.com.au is such a wonderful and crucial organisation and I'm so pleased to be part of this Art Prize and exhibition. This artwork measures 850mm x 560mm (unframed) and was created using a 0.05mm PigmaMicron pen & Prismacolour Coloured Pencils and many, many hours. :)
