23.01.2022 Meet Denver (on the left) and Nugget. Denvers had a run of bad luck lately so he gets most of the vet visits. Nugget on the other hand just gets the treats. Thank you Denver for always being such a good boy, even when it hurts.

21.01.2022 LOST CAT Gorgeous 3 year old "Sparrow" is lost. He escaped from his owner's car at the fiveways at Sherwood this afternoon. He is unwell at the moment and needs veterinary attention. He is fairly shy so he may be hiding somewhere. Please check your sheds/under the house etc. Please keep a look out for him and call 0403 543 838 if you see him. He is hard to miss being all white and a large boy at 7.5kgs.

19.01.2022 As we find ourselves in unprecedented times with the COVID-19 pandemic, I want to reassure you that The Visiting Veterinarian will continue providing veterinary care for pets in their own home. Firstly I'd like to advise you that the Australian Veterinary Association has stated that the current spread of COVID-19 is a result of human to human transmission. To date there is no evidence that companion animals can spread the disease. There are new guidelines for veterinarians du...ring this pandemic, as such I have introduced several changes to providing veterinary services in a home settings. In addition to social distancing and frequent hand and equipment sanitising, pets will be examined and treated in outdoor areas where possible. Face to face consultations will also be reduced to 15 minutes. I will be available for phone consultations as well as non-contact medication delivery. The changes are designed to minimise risk of infection with COVID-19 to clients and veterinary personnel. Our pets are part of our family, I am committed to continuing care for your pets in a safe manner for as long as possible.

17.01.2022 20 year old Flora of Annerley sadly passed away peacefully on Valentines Day. Flora was an independent, free-spirited girl. I had the pleasure of helping care for her in the last year of her life. She had her favourite cardigan that she snuggled into on cold days (inside out as she hating the feel of the seams) and her cool beds and more recently air-con during those hot Brisbane days. She was loved and doted on by her family. She is missed terribly. RIP Florsipaws.

So what better way to show our support for a fellow furparent than ...with a fundraising play date Emma is just 25 years young and has been battling Stage 4 Melanoma for over 3years. While she is fighting hard, unfortunately her latest prognosis is that she may only have months left with us Emma's wish to spend her remaining time at home with her beloved husband Serge and adored Cavoodle, Ralph. In order to do so, Emma and her family need financial support to cover the medical expenses that are involved in Emma being able to pass at home and to cover everyday expenses (including caring for Ralph) so that Serge can have time off work to spend this precious time with Emma. You can learn more about Emma's story at Dear Melanoma Come and show your support - there will be a raffle with great prizes to win from local doggie businesses plus other opportunities to donate or simply come for a play to help show our support for Emma, Serge and Ralph. 04.01.2022 Last weekend Oodles & Co hosted a fundraising event at Faulkner Park Graceville. All proceeds raised were donated to Emma who is just 25 years young and battling stage 4 melanoma. Emma's wish is to spend her remaining time at home with her beloved husband Serge and adored Cavoodle, Ralph. Emma couldn't be there on the day, but I know Ralph had a ball. 02.01.2022 It is with much sadness to tell you that we farewelled Skeet 4 days after his 19th birthday. Thank you Dr Terry King, Dr Ann Thompson and Trish Farry for the wonderful care you gave whenever he needed it. RIP big man.
