25.01.2022 Ok all you Jenolan Fans, heres an easy challenge for you. You can help Jenolan Caves Historical & Preservation Society (JCH&PS) get some community funding from Essential Energy! Our application has been successful and we are one of only 15 to reach the final stage in our zone. The public votes on who gets the money. So 6 from 15 groups will get $$$$, the groups with the most votes win. If we get on the voting podium, funds will help cover costs incurred by JCH&PS for remov...alists to evacuate our archive collection into offsite storage facility due to the fires in Dec 2019. With Five Mile Road closure, floods, then covid, 6 mths later it is still stuck there! If anythin gleftover, maybe we could even get a roof sprinkler system installed? Vote today for JCH&PS, go to https://voting.essentialenergy.good2givegrants.org/ click on Zone 7, scroll down to our name, enter your email address and then hit vote! Easy as that. Voting closes Thursday 18 June 5pm. One vote per email address per day, so VOTE EVERYDAY if you can. Full details of Essential Energy privacy policy, Community choices program and Terms and conditions are available from the link. Thanks for your support.

22.01.2022 Lovely to see neighbours out on the street with candles for the rising of the dawn this ANZAC Day 2020. COVID-19 might be limiting our movement but not our abi...lity to pay tribute and to honor our fallen on this most special day of the calendar. Thank you to our local buglers for playing the last post which could be so poignantly heard throughout the valleys. May we be forever grateful and never forget the sacrifice of our service men and women, and that of their families and loved ones, for protecting our Country and way of life. #ANZACDay2020 See more

10.01.2022 Jenolan Caves - Five Mile Road Update Rain, fire or rock slides wont stop Transport for NSW crews from working flat out to re-open Five Mile Road. Re-opening the road is not an easy task, with crews having already removed 581 trees, replaced 2.5 km of guard rail and removed 970 tonnes of material.... Thank you to everyone for the patience. It is hoped this road can be reopened in the coming weeks.

06.01.2022 Jenolan Caves Mudslide Overnight Last night we saw another mudslide occur on 5 Mile Hill - towards Jenolan Caves. This really illustrates the ongoing risk of saturated, unstable slopes. Transport for NSW is working around the clock assessing the damage and cleaning up the latest damage.

05.01.2022 Note 5mile closed from 13th July so cleanup of Blue Lake can start.

04.01.2022 Jenolan Caves remains temporarily closed, but making a remarkable recovery after fire and flood. The Grand Arch is just as majestic as ever, even more so by night. We (Oberon SES) delivered community donated items to Jenolan Caves RFS and then had the pleasure of a walk through the Arch with Barry Richard, Group Captain NSW RFS. 12/05/2020.
