Some of the key things to remember is what emotions you want to evoke, what your brands values are, and what colours fit your brand. If you’re camera shy, an introvert, or just plain uncomfortable on video, it can be an overwhelming feeling. But it doesn’t have to be! The first thing to reduce these feelings and to be more comfortable and confidence is to watch what you are saying to yourself in the lead up to turning the camera on. ... 18.01.2022 Do you know who the REAL you is? When you can understand and truly accept who you truly are, then you can be the authentic you. So many people ask, "how can I be authentic on camera?" The short answer is "BE YOU!" but there are some other things to be aware of. With so much focus being on social media, many show who they think they should be, and are concerned about "Please Like Me", and hey we are all trying to "fit in" and show our best side... we so easily become a presen...tation of who we think we should be. There is a line that we can cross where we loose who we really are. It's our quirks and differentiators that make us, well us! It's these things that attract people to us. Is it time to be the Authentic you? Here are a couple of tips for you! Get to know yourself. Observe who you are when you work, to who you are on camera, to who you are at home. If there is vast differences, ask yourself why? What feels reactive and what feels authentic. Find out what your core values are. What is REALLY important to you. Our values come from all different aspect of our lives, but once we know what they are, we are able to create a dialogue within ourselves. When we are aligned with our values, we can understand more of who the authentic you is. 11.01.2022 What are you wanting to learn and develop this year? Being open to trying new things, learning and developing in both our professional and personal lives is vital! Have you ever said you'd like to learn something but its a "one day some day" kind of thing?... That was me! I said for years I wanted to be certified in a specific modality... and to let you in on a secret... I had it in the "one day some day" part of my mind... even if this was as simple as a book I wanted to read... It wasn't until I set a goal and made a decision to do it and gave myself and end date that I made it happen. Whether we are learning by reading, listening to podcasts, enrolling in training (and actually doing it) it's important to create the time and space to be able to learn new things. Another little tip is I create a training budget for myself each year now. However the stories we share shouldn't be directly about us and how we help them. Our audiences are more curious about how you can solve their problem.
