22.01.2022 Today we headed to Sydney Motorsport Park, Eastern Creek for round 2 of the X3 NSW sprint series. The track was dry this time (for once). Due to no racing allowed in Victoria and Qld (covid), there were plenty of interstate competitors including a couple of V8 Supercars drivers again. With 38 cars on the grid, it was the biggest field seen for a while. Qualifying went fairly well with our car 6th on the grid. Race 1 start wasn't great, losing a couple of spots but finished 7...th. Race 2 start wasn't one of the best as our car moved before the red light went out. We got a time penalty after the race putting us back to 11th. Race 3, got up to 8th before the engine coughed on the last lap due to low fuel putting us in 9th spot. The car was handling badly all day but so was everyone elses. The car has no damage which is always good. Back to Wakefield Park next month. Big thanks again to our great sponsors. #MDSteel #ForbesPowderoating See more

22.01.2022 What an end to the Series X3 NSW Sprint Championship. Going into todays final round of sprint racing, there was no way we could catch Wil Longmore in first place but we were only 4 points ahead of Ben Crossland in third. The car was a bit of a pig today and didn't want to turn corners like it should. In race 1, we managed to finish one place in front of Ben. In race 2, Ben finished one place in front of us. This meant that whichever driver beat the other in race 3 would claim... 2nd in the series and the other would be 3rd. Race 3 was a great race wherever you wanted to look. There was really close racing in lots of different groups. Car 17 and 111 turned on a real race though. Barely separated many times and sometimes not separated at all! In the end our car crossed the finish line 12/1000ths of a second in front of Ben. You won't get closer than that!! The car got some very minor damage with a couple of small dents and one less front indicator. This is the first damage all year. It has been a fun year again with great people. Hopefully we can continue to climb the ladder next year. We do have one more endurance race in late November to complete the season. Thanks to our great sponsors for continuing to help us. #MDSteel #ForbesPowderoating See more

11.01.2022 Back at Wakefield Park Raceway for the final sprint round of the year. Qualified 6th from 29 cars. Time to put the head down and protect our 2nd place in the championship points. Thanks to PJ for helping out and thanks to Matt and Lisa for getting us here again. #MDSteel #ForbesPowderoating

11.01.2022 A few weeks ago I went to the final endurance round of the year at Wakefield Park. Wasn't a very good weekend with a cracked sump leaking oil everywhere on Friday and Saturday and a broken front hub on Sunday causing my brakes to fail. One good thing was that I qualified 5th in the top 10 shootout. Thanks to PJ, Will and Matt for helping out. Merry Christmas and thank you to everyone that follows my page. Hopefully I can continue to improve next year. Here's some professional photos taken through the season. Thanks finally to Matt and Lisa Drane for all their support through the year. #MDSteel #ForbesPowderoating

10.01.2022 It's been a while, but here we are back at Wakefield Park Raceway. We're about to line up for yet another wet weather race meeting. Came and did some practice yesterday in wet, windy, wild conditions. Looks like we have ironed out all the little faults in the car. Thanks as always to Matt and Lisa for helping us get here. #MDSteel #ForbesPowderoating

09.01.2022 Well that was an interesting day!! Managed to qualify 3rd from 31 cars after a shaky start and finished all 3 races in 3rd place. It pretty much rained all day before getting fairly heavy before our last race. There was a lot of water on the track, especially at turn 1 (130km/h corner). After just 1 lap, there was carnage there. After the safety car restart, there was instantly more carnage. This resulted in our race being cancelled as well as the rest of the race meeting. Luckily our car is coming home undamaged. Feeling bad for our 6-8 friends that damaged their cars, some seriously. Looking forward to doing it all again in 5 weeks time. Massive thanks to our sponsors. #MDSteel #ForbesPowderoating
