16.01.2022 Here's my contribution to the odd time signature thread. Excuse some of the sloppy playing. There is a part 2 coming soon. This video is in 15/8 and the second ...tune is in 2/4 or 2/2 depending on how you count it but has some interesting subdivisions. Just using the Shure beta 98 and a touch of eq and reverb. Drum is a Metloef by Rob Forkner and the tipper is from Gordon Falconer. See more

15.01.2022 OK. Here's a little video re my new overheads. I recently bought a second Warm Audio WA 47 jnr the Neuman 47 copy with FET electronics instead of the tubes (that version was a bit out of my price range at the moment). Excuse some of the playing on the track. I just wanted to quickly grab some vision while I was tracking this tune. This is NOT the final version (a few timing issues on this one). Anyway, fist you get just the overheads, then all mics but NO fx, then you get all mics with fx. It was just a rough mix to show the mics. The track is all sequenced. I hear they are tracking live bass, guitars, and percussion this weekend.

06.01.2022 This is Harry Johnston's first recording and video effort and he did a great job. The track is from Jim Riley's "Survival Guide For The Modern Drummer". Harry wrote and arranged his drum part. I helped with the filming and recording but Harry did all the film editing himself. Very proud of his fantastic effort.
