24.01.2022 COMMUNITY MEETING UPDATE Hundreds of people gathered at the Evacuation Centre at Equex in Wagga Wagga this afternoon for an update from emergency services. ...Key details from NSW Rural Fire Service District Coordinator Peter Jones: Dunns Rd fire is currently at 300,000 hectares, it's still growing to the east and there's no containment in the national park Tumut is accessible via the Gocup Rd Adelong is accessible however services are still out and water must be boiled Talbingo can be accessed by residents (ID must be provided) and some services are out Batlow and rural outlining towns impacted by fires can't be accessed. It's expected Batlow won't be able to be accessed for the next 48 hours, possibly longer Residents are advised to not return to Tumbarumba.
