15.01.2022 Kinder Excursion to Yarralumla Play Station JPS has been lucky enough to be able to re-book the Kinder excursion to the Yarralumla Play Station. Students will be split into two groups and attend on Wed 25 November or Wed 2 December. A new permission note will be sent home early next term, the cost is still $13.00. ... For those who have not yet paid, payment will be requested with the new permission note. 13.01.2022 Year 6 Farewell - Tuesday 15 December A special Year 6 assembly will be held at school during the afternoon where students will receive their Graduation Certificate and a photo taken. 08.01.2022 Tell Them From Me Student Survey - Yrs 4, 5 & 6 This term, Jerrabomberra Public School will be taking part in the second Tell Them From Me student survey. The survey provides the school with valuable feedback on what our students think about school life, how engaged they are with school and the different ways that teachers interact with them. ... The survey is completed on-line and is run by an independent research company, The Learning Bar, which specialises in school-based surveys. This is the second survey of the year so that students' opinions can be compared for growth. Participating in the survey is entirely voluntary. Your child will not take part if either you or your child do not wish. If you do not want your child to take part in the survey, you can complete and return the non-consent form by Wednesday 9 September. 07.01.2022 Talk Like A Pirate Day on Wednesday 23 September - SRC Fundraiser Yaaarrr!!! Our Student Representative Council (SRC) has organised for JPS to take part in the Talk Like a Pirate Day which raises funds for the Childhood Cancer Support Group. Students are asked to bring a gold coin donation and wear their sporting house bandana as a pirate hat/scarf with their school uniform. Students may wish to wear other accessories such as an eye patch, however please do not brin...g any "hooks" or toy weapons. Bandanas are available for purchase from the Front Office, at a cost of $5.00ea. 07.01.2022 Footsteps Dance and Fitness is back on in Term 4! Dance is one of the elements of the Creative Arts and PE syllabus. Footsteps have been booked to come to our school each Thrusday in Term 4 to do a 1/2 hour session of dance and fitness with our students and teachers. The cost for this program is subsidised by the school and the P&C leaving $10 each for the first two children per family, the third child and onwards are free.... This is a great activity on which to end the year, the music is modern and the dances really enjoyable! When: Lessons begin Thursday 22 October and run for eight weeks Cost: $10 each for the first two children in each family. If you have credit available with the school and would like to use it for this activity, please indicate this on the payment slip. Please return the payment slip before Thursday 15 October.
