07.01.2022 While your having your sunday morning coffee it’s a great time to ensure your Bush Fire Survival Plan is in order. Is your property bush fire ready? Will you stay or will you go? Can a large tanker fit through your gates? Is there room to turn around?... Have you removed rubbish away from your house? (Including leave litter) Have you checked your gutters lately? Does your pump work? Do you have a hose that fit around your house? In dangerous conditions you need to be aware that HELP MAY NOT COME IN TIME. Fire has a plan, do you?

05.01.2022 Today’s Fire Danger rating is EXTREME. Have your BUSHFIRE SURVIVAL PLAN ready. Know what you will do in the event of a fire that could threaten your home. If you see an unattended fire call 000 immediately.

04.01.2022 Tuesday will be a dangerous day. Based on the latest forecast, there is likely to be widespread Severe and Extreme fire danger. This is expected to stretch from... the Queensland border to the south coast, and across the Central West. There is already extensive fire activity across the north coast and northern NSW areas. These fires won’t be contained in time. Under these conditions, these fires will spread quickly and will threaten homes and lives. These conditions will be as bad, if not worse, than those experienced on Friday as they will be across a much broader area including large population centres like Sydney. There are significant resources committed to fires and they are limited. If you are threatened by fire, you may not get help. Monitor conditions over the next few days. Use the time now to get ready. Stay up to date on bush fires in your area and take responsibility for your own safety.

04.01.2022 Planning to make a plan is not a plan. Ensure you have a Bushfire Survival Plan in place and be ready to activate it. In Extreme and Catastrophic Fire Danger, if you plan to leave then leave early.

04.01.2022 There is thick heavy smoke blanketing the area this morning. Rest assured at the this stage there is no active fire activity in our area. If you have respiratory issues please stay indoors today. The smoke is expected to hang around for most of the day along with slightly lower temperatures than we have been experiencing. With the reduced visibility it will be difficult to see if any new fires start, please remember if you see an unattended fire please call 000 immediately.
