16.01.2022 Calving time here at the farm again... our new-ish replacement Maremma has adopted our orphan calf as his sole responsibility - he’s abandoned the little sheep flock to his Mate and is hanging out full-time with Daisy. PS - Daisy is doing well. We’re not sure how she ended up abandoned, maybe a first-time Mum wasn’t sure what to do; buts she’s a very welcome addition to the household

14.01.2022 A milestone day February 6 - goodbye and farewell from the Jerry Creek Ginger team, as the last patch was picked and the last box was sent to our Brisbane agent. After 10 amazing years we’ve called it quits; no more cutting up seed, trimming market pieces, chasing cows out of the ginger patches, yarning in the shed, getting soaked by the wash plant, racing the dogs to the pump on the quad, laughing, laughing and more laughs. And tears. And cut fingers stinging with spicy ginger juice. And bills, and hopeful waiting for cheques from the agent. It’s been a wild and unexpected ride that’s bought some irreplaceable people into our world (you know who you are); and bought us closer together as a husband and wife team, and been a wonderful village for our children as they’ve grown. Forever grateful for the experience.
