25.01.2022 A few photos of last nights absolutely incredible bioluminescence display in Jervis Bay! What can be seen as a red tide during the day, the microalgae Noctiluca scintillans produces a bright blue glow at night when it is disturbed. Truly an amazing sight to see!

16.01.2022 Check out these weird little dudes! We had an exciting sighting of the rare Snubfin dolphin out off Jervis Bay reported this week! Only found in Australia, as w...ell as being pretty darn cute, they exhibit some very unique behaviours. In 2009, researchers from the WWF discovered that social groups of six or more of these dolphins would hunt together, chasing fish up to the surface of the water and herding them into place by SPITTING jets of water at them. They’re one of only a few species of dolphin in the world known to employ this kind of cooperative hunting strategy.- @australiangeographic Swipe to see the spitting in action!
