21.01.2022 The results are in from our first beer competition, ‘The Indies’, where 31 expert judges critiqued 696 beers from indie brewers all over Australia! We are pretty stoked with 8 medals from 9 entries, including a silver medal for our Black Bevy Session Stout. Other winners for us included bronze medals for our 11 Days Pale Ale, Bright Idea XPA, Altbier, Beacon Lager, Point Perp Pils, Bay Swell IPA and the Low Vis Hazy IPA. ... @ask4indiebeer

21.01.2022 NEW BEER ALERT! We’re bringing Oktoberfest to you this year here at JB Brewing Co with three German beers! Firstly we’d like to introduce you to our Helles Lager. Do you think you can tell Heaven from Helles? Probably not, because when it comes to drinkability, our Helles will have you in raptures. This is a malt-driven, beery beer. Super-light in colour, no fruity hops, no funky aromas. Just high-quality pilsner and Munich malts with a gentle bitterness and aroma from German noble hops that mean you’ll have to make a conscious decision to stop!

Shoalhaven City Council is part of the Cities Power Partnership that commits Council to helping reduce our dependence on polluting fossil fuels. Part of their commitment is encouraging sustainable transport through walking or cycling. We're proud to be able to help Council's efforts by installing bike racks and encouraging people to walk or cycle.

09.01.2022 NEW BEER ALERT! Welcome to Oktoberfest here at @jervisbaybrewing_co! This weekend join us for German food from @nomadkitchenbbq, prizes for everyone who dresses in German style and every person who orders one of our three German beers goes into the draw for their very own lederhosen! One of those three is our new Dunkelweizen! Literally ‘dark wheat beer’ in German, this is a Bavarian classic that is surprisingly refreshing and easy drinking for a ‘dark beer’. Unlike most beers, the primary flavours and aromas in this one come from the yeast: esters produced during fermentation give hints of banana that will surprise those unfamiliar with the style. A generous dose of dark crystal malt adds colour and body to the beer, which is deliberately carbonated quite highly so as to be refreshing enough to drink in any season.

07.01.2022 We are passionate about our awesome community here in Jervis Bay, so each month we choose a local group doing amazing things that we can support, with proceeds from every keg sold, and our Thursday night events going to helping them out! We're incredibly lucky to have an organisation like Bay and Basin Community Resources in our area. They're a not-for-profit organisation that runs on the smell of an oily rag and delivers a host of community services including community radio after school and aged care. BBCR also hosts the Sanctuary Point Men's Shed that made our fantastic big brewery tables and tasting paddles!

One year ago exactly we opened these big old doors for the first time, and what a wild, crazy, challenging and yet beautiful year it has been. It’s been a privilege to journey with our amazing community through such a bumpy 12 months. 01.01.2022 It’s back baby! The old favourite, Love Boat Raspberry Wheat beer is back in time for summer! And this time it’s available in cans for take-away too! Known as ‘The Love Boat’, the HMAS Jervis Bay was the first Royal Australian Navy ship to embark female personnel many moons ago. We’re not sure how romantic it got below deck, but we do know it’s easy to fall for our blushing tribute, Love Boat Raspberry Wheat Beer. This refreshing 3.8% brew is spritzy and rose-tinted by lashings of juicy raspberries, making it a perfect thirst quencher for a summer’s day.
