14.01.2022 You wait for months You try to imagine what is going to be like You prepare but at the end no matter if is your first or 5th baby, they steal your heart repost @_fortheloveofbirth ... Some of you possess a strength I’m grateful not to know! This woman here, she battled through weeks of prodromal labor, only to still be met with an all night & all day long labor. The theme of this birth was she needs to come out, this needs to be over. Sometimes, it’s the waiting. Sometimes it’s not even the pain but it is the waiting. The not knowing. Not allowing someone into your physical temple to check you or manage your labor, but trusting that you’ll get there, that you ARE getting there, one wave at a time. That release is so emotional, that acceptance is so powerful. It almost breaks you, almost! They come into this world with such beauty & intensity it fills the room with oxytocin, & we stop to marvel at the phenomenal strength of woman. It never, ever, gets old for me. I pray it never does.
