22.01.2022 BB WORKOUT! I LOVE my @onerepmax_fitness booty bands. Legit use them in almost every session and they have been a staple in client workouts through the last few months of CoVid restrictions! You can use any booty Band for these exercises, but @onerepmax_fitness are best ... 1. Banded Pull down 2. Seated Row 3. Squats (add a pulse if you want) 4. B-Stance Deadlift 5. Donkey Kick Pulses 6. Hip Thrusts 7. 20.01.2022 ISO Training Tips One thing I can encourage you all to do during this time, is exercise! Whether it's walking or running, working out in your lounge or garage, any form of exercise is going to do your physical and mental health wonders. My top tips for training in iso are: ... Any amount is better then nothing! 15 minutes or 60 minutes, any way you intentionally move you body is amazing! Sign up for a program, with someone to stay accountable too! Sign up with a friend, and keep each other accountable! If you can't afford a trainer or an app subscription, there's plenty of free workouts on Instagram or YouTube to get your body moving! Have your rest days. You don't need to train every single day. Remember rest days are just as important as training days to help your body recover and well, REST! Get your fam involved! It can be a fun bonding session! You don't need weights for a good workout. If you don't have any, bodyweight exercises are just as great! (And don't buy weights of people online trying to make a quick buck in a crappy situation!) This is such a tough time emotionally for so many, so don't put huge expectations on yourself. My go to ingredients at:... - Frozen fruit - usually banana and/or berries! - A protein powder, currently using Macro Mike but also like Nutra Organics and Tropeaka. - Chia and flax seeds for healthy fats! Sometimes even cashews! - Peanut Butter, cos, well do I even need to explain? - Spinach, if I have any for a serving of greens! - Lots of ice - Water I would normally have a smoothie like this as a morning post workout snack or an afternoon pick me up but if I was to have one for breakie or lunch, I'd also add some oats! We are now back into group fitness training and as of next week, this timetable will be current. 12.01.2022 This morning, I had to slap myself in the face. Not literally, although that would've worked too, but mentally. I was getting changed and started to pick at the things I didn't like about my body, the things I wanted to change. The body fat on my belly, under my underarms, the areas I've been self conscious about for as long as I can remember! Then I looked down and saw Lexie and Scarlett, talking and smiling at each other and that's when I slapped myself. Just the other ...day, Lexie grabbed the skin on my belly and I laughed, then Scarlett did the same and I said to her "I grew you and Lexie in there" and she said "I know, is there another one in there now" I said no, but how special is it that mummies can grow babies in their bellies! She said "it's beautiful." Being a mum and a personal trainer has helped me become so much more confident in what my body looks like. Mainly because I want to be the best role model to my clients and daughters and what I tell them about how amazing their bodies are no matter shape or size, does rub off on me as well. BUT we all have says where negative self talk creeps up, and as soon as that happens, slap yourself. Tell yourself no matter what my stomach looks like, or my nose, or my legs, or my arms, I am beautiful just the way I am, and it does not change who I am on the inside. Being self confident starts and finishes with how we think and love ourselves. No % of body fat, or % of muscle mass or someone else's opinion is ever going to help us reach that true meaning of body confidence. You need to love yourself in all your glory, just as you are, then do what you feel you need to fuel that love. That might be daily exercise, it may be losing some weight by focusing on fueling your body with nutritious foods. It could be breaking away from toxic relationships or jobs or people. Whatever it is, just live yourself. Repeat affirmations everyday so that you believe what you say. Some of the best things about training with a mate, is the support, healthy competition and push that comes with it. There's someone else to be accountable to and someone else to show up for. 04.01.2022 Word. Something I have had to learn over the years! The scales do not define you. How much you weigh does not make you a good or bad person. It does not make you not beautiful or funny or confident. If weighing yourself causes more negativity then positivity, STOP. If you are chasing a certain number because you think it will make you happy, STOP. I can guarantee you that a certain number on the scales will not make you happy, you will always want more. ... Focus on moving your body everyday Focus on fuelling your body with whole, nutritious foods Focus on having positive and high vibe people in your life to keep you lifted high Focus on how you feel within yourself Love you for you.
