24.01.2022 'From where your treasure is: there be your heart, also.'

22.01.2022 Winter Wonderland So looking forward to be able to get back up into the mountains during the winter time and capture more stunning snowscapes soon Who else has winter as their favourite time of year?

20.01.2022 Driving back from Eden, coming south back over the range was incredible to see the extent of the fires from earlier in the year. It was also amazing to see how quickly a lot of the under growth has started to regenerate. There is still a lot of devastation from the fires but it’s on the mends #bushfirerecovery

20.01.2022 High in the sky and on top of mountain ridges is where I want to be

19.01.2022 The number of MSFR LEGENDS that have offered to donate their ticket refunds in the last 24 hours has been nothing but incredible. We know this is not possible f...or everyone and have had some incredible suggestion from our festival family on how to go about the process. We all know how much the Upper Murray has gone through in the past 3 months. For more details and to indicate your wishes visit the website here. www.bushfestival.com.au So we have grouped these ideas into 4 options. ROLLOVER: Rollover a current booking for 2021. No fee increases your booking remains exactly as is for next year’s festival. REFUND: We understand that many will be under financial strain presently - we are offering a range of partial and full refund option MFSR 2020 Patriot Legend: For those willing to invest in our Bush Festival’s long term future. A full donation of your fees to the MSFR Support Fund will give you 20% off Festival prices and other benefits including exclusive membership of our MFSR 2020 Patriot Legend club for the next 20 years. MERCHANDISE EXCHANGE: Exchange your ticket for MFSR Merchandise of the same value. In the mean time please stay safe and well. We look forward to coming together in 2021 for the 25 anniversary of the MFSR Bush Festival. Yours Sincerely, The MFSR Team

12.01.2022 Where are you gonna be heading first once lockdown lifts? I think we will be heading west into the desert, hoping to get away from the crowds and explore some different kind of country

12.01.2022 Endless views One thing we loved about Big desert was the view once you reached the top of the dunes. Absolutely breath taking. We had a pretty wet and miserable day on the Saturday but glad the sun came out on Sunday so we got to enjo the view. If you look closely at the horizon you can almost see the curvature of the earth

09.01.2022 Snow covered huts are my favourite

09.01.2022 What does the high country mean to you? I honestly don’t know even know where to start. But for me the high country is home, paradise, bliss, freedom and peace all wrapped into one. It’s the one place that I can go no matter what. It releases the soul. It has a strong calming effect on the soul, body and mind. It’s freedom cruising down a dirt mountain trails, it’s peace sitting and admiring the never ending rolling hillside. It’s the tall eucalyptus’ to the mountain streams, the wild horses on the plains, the wild dogs howling at midnight to the wombats and mountain Pygmy possums. If I had to describe my feelings on what the high country means to me it would have to be home. The High Country is home

09.01.2022 'Fry's Hut' Master Bushman, Fred Fry built his home in the late 1930s. Using split timber and with his own personal style of workmanship he erected many huts i...n the region including Upper Jamieson Hut, Ritchies Hut, Gardiners Hut and Noonans. Fred's life in the Howqua Valley was the basis of Neville Shute's 1950 novel ‘The Far Country’. Overnight camping is not permitted in Fry’s Hut. See more

07.01.2022 *MAN FROM SNOWY RIVER BUSH FESTIVAL 2020 POSTPONED* After the heartache of this summer's bushfires, it is with deep regret we must postpone this year's festiva...l following governmental advice. Our team and supporters have worked tirelessly in the lead up to MFSR festival 2020 often putting it before their personal situations, please bear with us whilst we chart a path forward in the coming days. This decision comes following advice around mass gatherings from the Australian Government and consultation with Visit Victoria CEO Brendan McClements on Friday, March 13th. MFSR Bush Festival 2020 was due to take place in Corryong 2nd to 5th April 2020, given current circumstances the festival cannot proceed as planned in April. Ticketholders, Competitors and Vendors are advised to hold onto their paperwork. We are currently working on the possibility of rescheduling to a September date. We will confirm the details and advise you as soon as possible in the next week. We understand the serious nature of COVID-19 and will continue to comply with the latest advice from the government and health authorities to protect the health and safety of festival-goers and our High-Country community. We sincerely appreciate your patience and would like to thank the Man From Snowy River Bush Festival community for their generous support so far and understanding during these unprecedented events. #heartbroken #mfsr2020 #mfsrbushfestival2020 #australiaisburning #coronavirus #uppermurray
