19.01.2022 CLIENT FOOD DIARY REVIEW . Why do I like this day of eating? It’s not #cleaneating and I’m a coach. Say whaaaat? . This client, comes from a restrictive eating past OR she would have an all or nothing approach - this day though, shows great BALANCE. Which has been a large focus for us...... . By working on her mindset around food, becoming educated and also eating more in general her overall well being has improved ten fold & her relationship with food . She is more confident, happy, healthy, no longer large fatigue and digestion issues she now knows what works for her, what doesn’t and what to be mindful of when making food choices... whilst still enjoying a hot cross hun and a wine on the weekend. Can I get an AMEN . She has been mindful of fruit and veg in her day to aid micronutrients, energy levels and add fibre to her day (important with her past digestion issues) . A variety of fats which is important for wellbeing especially in females and also satiety . Water on point to again aid energy, digestion and recovery. Fibre in the range we know works for her . And A DAMN HOT CROSS BUN AND ICECREAM GUILT FREE . Only things I would like to see here is probably a touch more protein in some meals with growth being her goal (not the be all and end all as a calorie surplus will play a role in this also, training progression, sleep etc) and a few lower gi carb sources but nothing major . This is where a coach can be worth their weight in gold. Not just for fat loss but to educate and assist as you work through old mindsets, restrictions, plateaus and even if you are just needing help resetting habits and creating a sustainable lifestyle. 18.01.2022 A GOOD COACH KNOWS WHEN TO PUSH AND PULL . What do I mean by thisThere’s a time to grind & push your clients to help them achieve their goals - ABSOLUTELY ! But a good coach will also listen, assess & change the plan if needed . Life happens & it’s not always in our control. Coaching needs to be able to be flexible! I love this post from my client Samira. She has had a lot going on lately & we simplified goals to ensure she felt like she was still moving forward, accountable... & didn’t feel she had to have an all or nothing approach to her nutrition / training. . Changing or SIMPLFYING your approach doesn’t mean you’re failing! . REPOST @findyourstrongpt Confession! I haven’t tracked all week and only training once We have just purchased our first home this is a huge goal of ours for many years and with the move it’s taken time, attention & has been a priority for the last couple of weeks . To aid overwhelm, something else had to give. This was my training & tracking. But it was done is a way where I was in full ownership of this & still accountable for my decisions rather then just throwing in the towel with an all or nothing approach . HOW you ask With nutrition even though I wasn’t tracking this week, I know I am not in a fat loss phase where it’s crucial. I’m at a maintenance phase so have a little more flexibility so i set some SIMPLE guidelines with my own coach @jesshull_fitness to help this. 1. Have protein in each meal. 2. Have 1 serve of fruit per day 3. Have 2 serves of veggies per day min 4. Include some whole grains . As for training, my hip has still be playing up so reducing my training as a deload into a new program was a great way to help reduce stress. This also means I’m not allowed to complain that I’m feeling abit more ‘fluffy’ then usual. I’ve made this decision and I’m owning the outcomes which I know how I can change it going forward. This week it’s about bringing training and nutrition back as a priority. So I’ve scheduled in my sessions for the week & prepping some quick food options to help hit my goals See more

16.01.2022 WHO THOUGHT EATING MORE WOULD BE HARD?! . COACH SAYS EAT MORE - BUT HOW? Often when clients commence we will go into a period of reverse dieting eg. Bringing intake UP. It may be to aid a future fat loss phase, build muscle, aid fertility, digestion or overall health or even break a plateau. Clients often actually struggle to eat more (say what!) especially if coming from a restrictive eating background. You don’t always have to add more volume to a meal to increase your over...all caloric intake! . TIPS ON HOW TO INCREASE CALORIC INTAKE WITHOUT ADDING MORE VOLUME TO MEALS: * Utilise condiments e.g. honey, bbq sauce, maple, stir fry sauces * Use oil when cooking or as a dressing * Smoothies with all the goods: e.g. oats, fruit, nuts or avo, protein powder, nut butter * Use full fat items not low fat * Don’t be afraid of some fun foods! An icecream or some chocolate wont kill you if eaten in moderation :P put some choc chips in those oats i say! * Add protein powder to oats/ yoghurt or smoothies * Add chia seeds or nut butter to yoghurts / smoothies etc * Utilise rice, bread, pasta that is high carb for minimal volume * Choose fattier cuts of meat or fish/ whole eggs * Coconut water / fruit juices See more

13.01.2022 LADIES LOVE A LABEL RIGHT? . I think many of us would walk past a Gucci or Chanel and atleast stop for a glance. Don’t deny it . So often the LABEL dictates how good the product is RIGHT? ... . BUT - I have some questions for you 1. Is the product actually the BEST for YOU? 2. Is it really that different to the other just because of the label? . We could use this with a Gucci bag as an example... Is it best for ME right now with a baby and needing compartments, lots of room, waterproof? Probably NOT! Is it better than my ALF baby bag in terms of quality and durability? Probably not overly either.. . When it comes to nutrition often we grab things and make choices / assumptions based on labels. Take these cheeses... Many would choose the LIGHT because the label makes it seem BETTER or healthier . But compare the pair: 20 odd calories difference and a whole 2g of fat. Big whoop! . You might even be someone who is working with a coach on hormonal health or improving nutritional deficiencies and NEED full fat dairy in your life (it’s actuality good for you, you know ) . My point being: read the back of things because labels are often purely for marketing purpose & make decisions on what’s best for YOU and your situation See more

10.01.2022 Last day of client check ins before I pop out this child o’ mine... this will be the longest time off I’ve ever had from team round in nearly 4.5 years... . I’ll still be working behind the scenes the next couple of weeks as what most people aren’t aware of is a large part of what I do at team round is also admin related (I love me a spreadsheet)...but what a mixed bag of emotions mat leave brings! You realise how much you invest into and care for your clients as a coach an...d entrusting them to another coach is actually a really big deal! I am so grateful to @mclaneytrained @aliround @becv.pt for helping look after my ladies during this period. They are being coached by some of the best of the best that’s for sure and there are no others I would trust . I feel so blessed to do a job I am passionate about, seeing lives changed for the better and all kinds of different goals achieved. I also feel an grateful this is a role I can return to with a little one and am grateful to @aliround for allowing me flexibility in the role so this is possible and for working with me for so many years now as I first became an online coach, throughout numerous rounds of ivf and pregnancy(what a saint hey ) . Bring on 2021, bring on more team round growth, more client goals achieved and more fun! . Thanks to all my amazing clients, you’re all so valued and appreciated. See more

08.01.2022 I DID A THING TODAY... . Everything from my wardrobe from past eating disorder days or that I no longer fit into post pregnancy - I DITCHED IT . Sometimes we know we haven’t been in a good place, we long for change, but we hold onto little elements of the past that keep a hold on our lives... . Although it’s been a long while now since I had an eating disorder, I, like many other females, still have days where I compare, pull myself apart and even torture myself by trying on old clothes . Well you know what, STUFF THAT! Gaining nearly 20kg in pregnancy was honestly a blessing. It had to happen for a healthy bub but also it helped me develop an even healthier mind and more self confidence . Crazy right, by the end of pregnancy I felt MORE confident nearly 20kg up! . Sometimes what we fear most is what we need most. I feared weight gain in pregnancy so much. But it taught me: my worth isn’t dictated by a size or number those who loved me, loved me just the same & really couldn’t care less what I weigh eating foods you used to fear is liberating having periods you don’t track rigidly is essential having some boobs and an ass is fun . Point being: currently sitting 5kg up from pre pregnancy days, training less, eating more and feeling fab but why hold onto things that on an off day could trigger some past struggles . Ask yourself - what are you holding onto? Is it helping you or hindering you? It might not be clothes like me but even mentally... . DO A CULL! EMBRACE NEW SEASONS See more

07.01.2022 Hello 36 weeks... . Isn’t it funny how we often focus on the WRONG in the day over the WINS? . I noticed it in client check ins this week..... Ladies beating themselves up they missed a session, but they did what they could and went for a big walk instead... Not hitting macros but still focusing on food quality throughout the day... Struggling with some mindless eating, but they did reach out for help.. They saw NEGATIVES, but I saw POSITIVES . As humans we are so often programmed to focus on what we DIDNT do rather than seeing areas of progress or the small ways we did step up . Every day won’t go to plan, every session won’t be 10/10, you won’t always be in a great mood BUT If you strive to focus on what you CAN do and CAN control then that’s always something to be proud of . This morning I felt like rubbish. My body hurts now, I haven’t slept in days, I throw up most of what I eat... I was beating myself up that my workout was short and not what I would usually do. Then I STOPPED MYSELF and switched the perspective. 1) atleast I did something and moved by body 2) I used to be some one who didn’t know how to pull back and would push myself when I shouldn’t. Today I listened to my body and that’s progress and a win . Maybe you’ve been beating yourself up this week? Take a moment to see if there’s some SMALL WINS to celebrate See more

05.01.2022 CLIENT TRANSFORMATION of the best kind... . I love this post from my client @nanzfit & feel so proud of where she has come. Yes, physical transformations are cool & we love seeing our clients achieve physical goals BUT I believe true coaching should strive for more. I strive to see our girls become educated, not fearing periods of maintenance, embracing and enjoying social events with no guilt or anxiety, setting goals outside of fat loss or purely aesthetic, feeling confiden...t in all phases & celebrating their inner qualities as much as outward . #Repost @nanzfit with @get_repost Pic 1 June 2019 Pic 2 September 2020 First I’d like to address that I have no idea how or why I was that tan in June last year THIS ISN’T JUST YOUR STANDARD WEIGHT LOSS PIC It’s actually the opposite no weight loss, no weight gain, just my body comp changing - which is worth the celebration because I’ve been putting in those HOURS. In June 2019, I put my new bathers on in front of the mirror, before going to Europe, to see if the super low calories a shitty coach was giving me (please note I was NOT with team round at that time) were worth it and if I was skinny enough yet I went to Europe, had the best time ever, got a little tubby but had no regrets. Fast forward to Sept 2020, I haven’t put my bathers one to see if I’m ‘Summer’ ready. I’ve put them on out of curiosity. How far have I come? I know I haven’t gained any ‘weight’ but I feel different! I feel GREAT. And lookatthat Hello growth For the first time ever, I’ve decided with my coach @jesshull_fitness that there will be no fat loss phase pre-summer. I want to keep making progress in my performance goals... so, aesthetically, I’m not too phased This is me and I like me.
