25.01.2022 The alfresco area I created at my LA project earlier this year will be in full use at the moment during the Californian summer. You know what they say... summer homes are made in winter - or something like that. So, get in touch now to get your home summer-ready! #jessieve

22.01.2022 A few days ago, I referenced a time when I first set foot into this industry as a maker of woven decor - a "Macrame Artist", if you will. So, I thought it might be relevant to take a trip down memory lane to my first ever magazine feature back in early-2016! This was our river shack rental in Oyster Bay. There were fire engine red feature walls and ancient lino kitchen floors but the water views from the moment you walked through the door were so breathtaking that all those... "quirks" quickly faded away. We got creative and made it our own as best we could with the rental (and budget) restrictions and lived here until we finally bought our Coal Coast cottage. This story, captured and created by industry legends Citizens of Style was featured in magazines across the globe, including on the cover of a French magazine! "O.M.G! OUI OUI!" I exclaimed. The images you see here are from the Australian feature in Yen Magazine - an epic publication for all the thinkers, makers, do-ers in the world. Yen was "for the switched-on, smart, creative cookie who loves to be inspired." Yen also supported and showcased women doing amazing things from a variety of fields and prided itself on supporting local talent. Sadly, less than a year later and after 15 years of indie goodness, the publication closed. (Unfortunately, the 2,578 copies my proud parents alone purchased weren't quite enough to keep this one afloat.) Anyway, that's a little throwback to my humble beginnings in this industry. It's nice to reflect on the journey and appreciate the evolution rather than always worrying about what's next?. It's also interesting (and slightly entertaining) to see how my aesthetic has evolved over the past 5 years. The influences that make it what it is today and how different it might be in 5 years from now! Ever-changing and drawing inspiration from different sources and experiences in life. I love the notion that an interior is never truly "done" but an on-going process that grows and changes along with its inhabitants. #jessieve See more

16.01.2022 My LA Project is one of my proudest moments to date. My clients trusted me with every detail of their home - even from the other side of the globe! I looked after the sourcing of every single piece of furniture and decor... right down to the cutlery and glassware! There is not one nook of this home that is not cohesive and considered - even the linen cupboard looks stunning with all the luxe bedding and towels! When clients trust your creative vision and process, that's where... the magazine-worthy magic happens! This is just one corner of the home - the rumpus/playroom. You can check out the full project here: https://jessieve.com.au/pages/portfolio If you too would love to achieve a home that is beautiful, cohesive, comfortable and cosy, I would love to hear from you! 07.01.2022 My Newtown terrace living area is a balanced layering of linen, wool, velvet, marble & oak. Much of the home was sourced from local suppliers and designers including handmade, custom pieces. My client had a conscious focus on quality, investment pieces over purely "cheap and cheerful" options which would less likely stand the test of time. As tempting as going down a budget route can be when redecorating your home - especially as you see the costs accumulate - we do need to c...Continue reading

05.01.2022 A few months ago I shared some snaps of a couple of cute nooks in the playroom of my L.A. project. I couldn't share the whole space yet because we were awaiting some made-to-order sofas to complete the room. Well, the time has finally come followers and friends! The Anthropologie sofas arrived and my oh my were they worth the wait! My awesomely cooperative photographer Paper + Pate Photography by Petra Ford ( ) has since returned to capture the final shots of this space. I couldn't be happier with the results! In fact, I'd say I'm about as chuffed as a coupla Californian kids who get to chill out here every day. #jessieve Interior by Jessi Eve

05.01.2022 Obsessing over this fresh, calm and warm moodboard for a bathroom design I am currently working on. This one will include a sunken bathtub (which is a first for me) so very excited about seeing that come to life! Watch this space. #jessieve

02.01.2022 Oh, baby! I loved styling this nursery setting for Materialised featuring the iconic (and my personal fave) Florence Broadhurst 'Miko' wallpaper. I also framed some other pretty pastel Flo Bro wallpapers to create a grouping of wall art! I love a playful mix of colour and pattern to create a unique space. By keeping to softer hues, it ensures the space is peaceful without being bland. We want bub to sleep of course but not because the interior is a snooze-fest! Sweetdreams. 01.01.2022 My partner, Adam, and I moved down to the Coal Coast of Wollongong from the Sutherland Shire just over 3 years ago now. I was born and raised in "The Shire" and lived there for 28 years of my 30-year life, before moving south. Adam moved to Australia from England when he was 11 and his family made Cronulla their home. We've been so lucky to live much of our lives in various coastal locations over the years, from Cronulla to Coogee to the Coal Coast. These locations have unden...iably played a huge part in shaping who we are with Adam's love for surfing and my love for all things coastal interiors (in case you hadn't noticed)! We absolutely adore where we've landed, nestled between the beautiful Illawarra escarpment and the ocean but it's nice to have a reminder of our former home in prime-position in our current home. This artwork by Shire Art House is a framed photography piece called 'The Alley' captured on black and white film by iconic surf lifestyle photographer, Bob Weeks. Shot in Cronulla in 1962 - long before Adam and I were around but somehow nostalgic all the same. My loved ones often say I was born in the wrong era and when I see images like this, I tend to agree.
