24.01.2022 Want to be 'stronger in yourself'? To me this means backing yourself with your decisions, not worrying what others think and adjusting yourself to please them, and tuning into your own intuition instead of turning outside of yourself to others for validation. Easier said than done, but achievable. I'll be going live in my Facebook group... 'Females on a fitness journey' to talk about this more and what you can do to make this possible. 22.01.2022 "I'm proud of myself and how much fitter, stronger, and confident in my body I am!" I have always been a lover of going to the gym, and I knew the fantastic feeling that you got with working out, but I always found myself starting gyms, or fitness goals and losing interest after a few months. But ever since training with Jess I see myself getting stronger and stronger. My mental state and balance has become positive, and I hardly stop these days when it 'gets too hard' and I ...hardly EVER say 'I can't do it'. This time last year I probably would have bought a bikini, but either wouldn't have worn it, or worn it and felt terrible in it. But this Summer I found myself buying about 8 different pairs and feeling extremely confident and comfortable with my body to wear them out. For me personally, it felt best if I didn't measure or weigh myself, so I can't give you a figure on how much I've lost, etc. I've reached fitness goals that I never thought I would be able to achieve! -JOANA BRAY See more

22.01.2022 Over the years I’ve nursed more than a few injuries Some carried over from childhood sport, others were lack of body awareness during exercise. Knees, shoulders, neck, elbows, you name it! If I'm really honest it was due to:... Bad technique Tightness and weakness in certain areas and using the wrong muscles Lifting too heavy It wasn’t until I became a trainer, I realized that my whole approach was wrong and I was doing harm to my body. I discovered it's important to know how to train with weights properly and to listen to your body understanding 'neutral spine' is the foundation. 18.01.2022 Feeling like your days are on repeat? I feel ya. Being stuck at home sucks. Especially when it rains, and the kids are bored AF.... ISO 1 was honestly beyond stressful Back then I didn’t have a gym set up I was missing my weights and my fitness outlet so much especially since I was trying to home school a kid with ADHD and keep a toddler amused. Impossible! And I’m sure there are people out there that have it way worse than this Well tell ya what I did. I started practising 5 specific mind/body exercises every day to help release stress and energize myself. They helped get me out of the ISO hole that was getting bigger and bigger with every passing day. They are simple yet extremely powerful. Because they work on your Strength and Flexibility but also help you shift your energy so you’re more Calm and Centred. 12.01.2022 Went for a run today what'd you get upto? Brings back old memories of running when I was a kid, the exhilaration and the torture great feeling to be out in the sun and the wind. ISO 2.0 hasn't been quite as bad for me as ISO 1.... Things have drastically changed though Noah's been back at school and Dans been off work, so having time together with Aria has been so nice. And of course having a gym makes life worth living! If your still finding it super tough and want it done with, I feel ya. Just remember to make some time fo yourself, self care is so important x

12.01.2022 It took me years to finally realize that exercising shouldn't be a case of all or nothing. If you don’t love cardio, you don’t even have to do endless amounts to get amazing results! Living actively is about balance. It’s a balance between doing what you like (leisure) and what you need (intensity) to get results :) Learning to push yourself physically makes you a stronger person. Not giving up when it hurts makes you feel really good about yourself like you've accomplished s...omething. Weight training is an absolute must for fat loss, strength, and firming. But sadly still underestimated and skipped through fear of getting too bulky. Truth is, females don't have the testosterone to get big and bulky from weights so what it does instead, is it helps to tone up the giggles. 07.01.2022 And then there were 3 in the Bed It was just the other day I said to Dan Hey babe, after ISO do you think we should do sleep school." He was like Seriously? And I said Yeh why? and he said, We used to laugh at sleep school... That was until we had our own child in the bed At the start it was really nice and cute Fast forward a few months, of taking turns getting kicked in the head each night Broken sleep interrupted sexy time Enough! So instead of sleep school, it got me thinking. If she’s been in our bed for 3 months straight, prob unrealistic to expect her to sleep in her own bed the first night back Night 1 - I had to kneel by her bed for 40 mins before she would stop protesting and settle. She was back in our bed at 12 pm. Night 2 - I spent 30 mins by her cot, then I moved to my bed to play on my phone for at least 10 mins before I left the room. She was back in ours at 2 pm. Night 3 - 10 mins by her cot, 20 mins laying on my bed. Back in our bed at 4 am. Night 4 - 5 mins by her bed, 10 mins laying on my bed. She slept in her bed all night! Fuck yes! Success! I’m telling you this because if you want to change a fitness habit (Learn weight training) change an eating habit (cut back on sugar) or any other habit it’s not going to happen overnight. My Goal with Aria was to work on 1 thing at a time and 1 thing only to get her back into her own cot! Then keep her in her cot. And then tackle daytime sleeping. Working on too many things at once creates stress and overwhelm. Same goes for your goals. Aim to focus on 1 thing at a time. Don’t worry about anything else until you can see noticeable success. I know it seems simple and super obvious but don’t underestimate the power of focusing on one thing. Do less to achieve more! xx
