10.01.2022 Somehow I think I got the better end of the deal today - riding this beautiful gelding to get some exercise in as he’s going mad in a paddock It’s been good using Dee as a buddy for Belle... I love having a horse as quiet as him. I take great exception to the population of individuals who preach that OTTs/TBs are not good, sound or quiet horses. In all my time training, I’ve never found this to be true. This breed is extremely versatile in it’s ability, and trying in i...t’s nature. I am lucky to work with such amazing horses everyday

09.01.2022 Woooo, lockdown 2.0!!! Said no one ever

03.01.2022 Some days just do not go the way we hope. Today was one of them for this guy. rest.... AGAIN! I’m getting pretty over my horses forcing after hours vet call rates on me, if I do say so myself Dee was not himself today from the moment I saw him this morning, and lucky I’ve had such a supportive network of people keeping a close eye on him throughout the day. At 6:30 tonight, it was time for the vet. Something really got this poor guy revved up and sent him through a co...uple of fences... at speed. He’s been listless and lethargic all day, until it was time for the vet. Then he put on a show and lunged through his next target: Fence #2 A few superficial scrapes and a potentially infected hock and this guy’s out of commission for the next little while... like his owner I suppose. One of us has spinal damage (me) and the other one keeps injuring themselves... (okay, but both of us ) So, thank you 2020 for fucking up every plan I’ve made for both my boys this year. At least we know what rock bottom looks like and on the flip, it is quite literally only up from here

02.01.2022 Days like this make you want to go explore your local areas... on hoof

02.01.2022 What a day! Dee is on the mend and looking great - let out of his box today (shh don’t tell the vet) and he was moving almost like a real horse His bandages got changed and he feels like a new man I think. Unfortunately his owner is sporting an injury that made the entire process take much longer than necessary... sorry dude ... Aaaaand to top it off, my little partner in crime has enjoyed herself so much that she’s passed out on the couch. Big day for a little pup!
