21.01.2022 HANDS I love that my job allows me to use my hands so creatively. This is definitely the nicest they have ever look while styling and creating florals, they were manicured just for this shoot. Normally they are filthy, scratched, covered in bandaids with chipped nails. Flowers can be very unforgiving, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Sure I could wear gloves, but I like to feel the flowers against my skin while I am creating. It is almost therapeutic and it allows for a... better result in all my arrangements and installations. When designing my tattoo to celebrate my business surviving the five year mark, hands were a big part of the design. They are the tool of my trade and what I have used to get me where I am today. 18.01.2022 MEET RUBY Even though I have no idea what this season will look like, boy am I glad Ill have this lovely lady by my side. Ruby was an intern last season and is coming back as a senior for this who knows what will happen season. ... Ruby is extremely creative, hilariously funny, confident, charismatic and lifts everyones moods shes around. She knows what I need even before I ask and most of all she keeps me sane in the most hectic of events. Be prepared for lots of behind the scenes fun with this one.

18.01.2022 CALM Loved this beautiful driftwood arch from yesterday's wedding in Lorne. The waves crashing in the background and the wind blowing through the foilage was so calming. Calm would not be the word we would use for the start of the day. We battled with a surf carnival, crowds, and crazy weather, this meant we changed ceremony location three times. ... This is a great example of why we are brilliant at what we do. All elements of the wedding were beautiful and calm and no one would be non the wiser as to the chaos behind the scenes.

18.01.2022 INSTA WALL Finally got my Insta Wall! Thanks @leigh_alderton aka best husband ever. Renting is the worst for creating a instagram friendly workspace. Thanks to Leighs handyman skills this false wall will suit perfectly until we have to move with no damage to the wall behind it. Clever!

17.01.2022 YELLOW Bright, fun and still soft. Yellow is the colour of happiness and one colour I would love to see more of at weddings. This beautiful yellow wattle halo was a great complement to @neonjungle.events angle wings that you can check out in one of our previous posts.

15.01.2022 HALO So lucky to have been able to take over a wall at @neonjungle.events and I was immediately drawn to thier fabulous neon wings. All that the wings were missing was a HALO! ... This was created using wattle. Sometimes using just one floral on mass is more effective than combining multiple. And while it looks simple I have to add this wattle was also covered in leaves that were painstakingly picked off the night before. Ps. Totally have @beyonce HALO stuck in my head now and the whole time I was creating this.

10.01.2022 HELLO MAY Beyond excited that Prue and Martys wedding has been featured on the @hellomaymagazine blog! Captured by the fabulous @georgiaverrells at the stunning @mtduneedestate Thank you for the kind words Prue and Marty! So thrilled we could create something you loved! Best wedding to end our season with!... Was dark, moody and romantic. Lots of deep reds, purples and pinks. Jessica Alderton Events did such an incredible job bringing our ideas to life. Before anyone got to see inside of the venue, Eliza took Marty and I inside to see the incredible work Jessica and her team did and my jaw dropped. It was pure magic. The flower bouquets, the flower installation across our wedding arch and our flower installation behind the bridal table were probably my favourite pieces. The attention to detail that Jessica and her team provided was beyond anything we could of ever expected.

While it may be on hiatus this season it will be back and better than ever for the 21/22 season! Working with, watching and helping grow people with a passion for events and florals is a season highlight each and every year and it will be very much missed.

05.01.2022 SARAH + JACKSON Gosh we feel lucky to have put together this stunning day for Sarah and Jackson before lockdown began again, especially having already moved the wedding once before. We had such fun with this brief and the freedom Sarah and Jackson gave us with the colour scheme made for a unique, fun and vibrant day. ... 02.01.2022 QUIRKY Today we created something a little out of the box for the interactive sessions area at the @geelongweddingguide expo. We painted quilt wadding to look like clouds of cotton candy with painted leaves and huge roses in red, blush and bright pink dotted throughout. ... Not everyone's cup of tea but personally I loved it!

02.01.2022 ALL IN A DAYS WORK Not everything always goes to plan at a wedding, and to be honest there is usually something that goes a little awry. But that is why you need to make sure you have the very best on your big day. At the last minute a change of ceremony meant we needed to move the rather large arch from @mtduneedestate beautiful olive grove to thier indoor ceremony area within minutes. ... As you can see from the pictures we had it all under control until we hit a low branch, a loud crack and I knew we had dislodged the floral cage holding the flowers to the arch. Once it was tipped upright down tumbled the flowers and it was a mad dash to repair and replace the florals. This was all done in minutes and the arch looked better than before. These are the behind the scenes moments you miss and would never even know happened. This time we had the fabulous Britt from @_in_the_flow_ to capture all the drama.
