09.01.2022 R U OK Day last week bought up a lot of feelings for me! A lot of memories, some that hurt, some that I am so grateful for. A lot of thoughts for my friends and family that are going through their own journeys with depression, anxiety, and other mental illnesses, some that hurt my heart, and some that light me up So here is my official post for R U OK Day! A week later, I think it’s important for us to check in with our tribe, our people, our friends, our family &... OURSELVES, not only on one day of the year, but everyday! Sometimes we don’t know when our people are struggling and sometimes we do. I know from my own personal battles that a simple message asking how I am is so special and important to knowing I have a support system, and a safety net of people that care about me, that genuinely want to know how I’m going, & sometimes a message to check in is the right amount of support a person needs Don’t try to change how they’re feeling. Don’t try to tell them that everything will be okay. Don’t try to understand, most times you won’t. Just listen. Make sure they know that you’re there. One more thing. Go and stand in front of the mirror. Look at yourself. And ask - HOW ARE YOU? Are you okay? How are you feeling? When was the last time you checked in with your body, your feelings and your heart? Please know there is always someone to listen, my inbox is always open. 08.01.2022 Day 3 I’ve cut down to 5 cigarettes a day I was smoking 15-20 a day I’m seeing this as a huge win! ... The story I was telling myself was that having a durry was a huge failure. I’d committed to it, I’d held myself accountable, I had the support of my friends and family, and I didn’t want to let anyone down, including myself. I am not failing, I am doing my best, and that’s all that matters for right now. It’s going to take a little bit of time, but I will be a non smoker in the very near future, I can almost taste it! (Literally, my taste buds are changing daily ) Thanks to some awesome advice from my amazing oily friend @dan_inagram I am using Thieves oil, and Peppermint oil to help with my nicotine cravings One drop on my hand, and lick it straight off! We call it a #pepperlick Not only is the Thieves helping to curb the cravings, it’s supporting my immune system at the same time! So, WIN WIN! 06.01.2022 I was so lucky to get to be a part of a group coaching call with @mymoonbox & @cheekycoconuts a couple of nights ago So excited to be leaning into my cycle, tracking and planning my life & business around the seasons of my womb. So this is where I’m at yo. The full moon brings with it the ovulatory phase of my cycle. ... Nikki taught me that the Ovulatory phase is much like Summer. I’m feeling flirty, and fun, and excited! My hormones are heightened and flowing and it’s my juicy and sexy phase.
