22.01.2022 I have been very slack about sharing Meatless Monday this past year! So to cover my bases I will share this list of meals. Remember, include a source of protein, zinc and iron, such as eggs, nuts, legumes or tofu.

17.01.2022 Interesting article by the fantastic Jane Caro. It's so good to see the 'health not weight' message in mainstream media. Caro suggests that if we focused on reducing stress and improving health and quality of life, we may all be thinner. I think, ultimately, that reducing stress and improving quality of life are worthy goals for everyone, even if they don't lead to weight loss.

17.01.2022 "Almonds are the best nut, right?" No! All nuts have different mixes of nutrients, and by sticking to only one kind of nut, you're missing out on a variety of nutrients. 02.01.2022 Reminder: diets don't work. That's why the diet industry is so profitable! Weight loss is rarely long-term, because your body does not want to lose weight and will actively fight against it.

02.01.2022 The thing about food is that is doesn't always taste really delicious on its own. I'm thinking plain pasta, plain chicken... or kale! They all have nutrients in them that are so important. So to help us enjoy eating them, we add flavour, such as herbs and spices, cheese, oil, cream, lemon juice and/or vinegar. Adding these things doesn't 'cancel out' the effect of the nutrients, and in fact may help your body absorb them better. What do you like on your salad?
