25.01.2022 This project is very close to my heart! I was so proud when my mum was talking about starting her own business. She was nervous but excited and all I had to say to her was, "Do it!!". 6 months later and the brand is looking amazing, website is live and mum's business is growing. Being a new model of pregnancy care not seen before on the Mornington Peninsula, the No. 1 task has been to educate women on the immense benefits of Midwife continuity of care. 23.01.2022 Possessing a creative mind, after all, is something like having a border collie for a pet, writes Elizabeth Gilbert in Big Magic. It needs to work, or else i...t will cause you an outrageous amount of trouble. Creativity is something we all desire, yet creative people are often a troubled lot. Living inside a creative head is by and large not a relaxing experience; much less a health spa and more a turbulent plane ride. It has taken me years to learn this, but it does seem to be the case that if I am not actively creating something, then I am probably actively destroying something (myself, a relationship, or my own peace of mind), writes Gilbert. What creative people need first and foremost is an outlet for their creativity. When this creative energy is channelled, the path of life becomes less treacherous. However, when a creative person is at loose ends, beware. Gilbert believes that whether we make a profession out of it or not, doing something creative is important for us all. We all need an activity that is beyond the mundane and that takes us out of our established and limiting roles in society (mother, employee, neighbour, brother, boss, etc.), she writes. We all need something that helps us to forget ourselves for a while to momentarily forget our age, our gender, our socioeconomic background, our duties, our failures, and all that we have lost and screwed up. 21.01.2022 Sometimes it's lovely to move away from the strategy work and get back to hand crafts! I knew instantly the perfect direction for Avrille Burrows and Hayden's wedding stationery - A hand cut paper garland wreath crafted from hand picked flora and fauna from their garden! We then commissioned stamps in various sizes for extra stationery bits and printed square invitations with rounded corners and matching RSVP postcards in black ink onto Spicers Australia's Neenah Dessert Storm. Love the whole process that lead to beautiful and unique outcomes!

21.01.2022 I'm really excited to have launched a new branding project Mylk and Maple. Not only did the project teach me a lot about the raw and vegan world, but it was super fun getting creative with French-inspired, high-end branding. Highlight would be getting the maple syrup out and creating a beautiful set of hand generated illustrations for the brand! Usually I go over my scheduled time because I want to get my strategy right and need lots of thinking and writing time before launching into designing anything...
