12.01.2022 I'm raising money for Colin Handley to rebuild Stunt Park after it was maliciously robbed on Saturday night. Over $30,000 of equipment was taken. Colin is one of the most generous people on earth. He has helped so many people achieve their dreams. He is an integral part of the Australian stunt community and a much loved member of the Gold Coast region. Stunties and friends, let's band together and help Col get Stunt Park and Stunt Academy up and running again!... Please read, donate and SHARE SHAARE SHARE!
11.01.2022 4 years ago today. 4 years of surgery recovery, physio and specialist appointments. 4 years of 3-monthly checks, numerous scans and tests.... 4 years of changing my outdoor lifestyle. 4 years thankful it was found early. I’ll probably get another 40 years but I almost didn’t get 4. I was lucky it was found early! Melanoma is the most common cancer affecting young (15 to 39-year-old) Australians and the third most common cancer of both men and women. Around one Australian every five hours dies from Melanoma. EARLY DETECTION COULD MEAN EVERYTHING! Get your skin checked today, it’s the largest organ you have. @melanomapatientsaust @melanomainstituteau #melanoma #skincancer #melanomaawareness #skincheck #skin #cancer #getaskincheck #justdoit

04.01.2022 It’s charity week ~ Of the many hats I wear, my favourite by far is the honour of being an Ambassador for @rspcaqld ~ RSPCA Queensland is on the frontline of rescuing animals from cruelty and neglect across Queensland. They rescue, rehome and help domestic animals and each year they investigate over 18,000 cases of cruelty and rehome over 20,000 animals. RSPCA QLD also have the largest wildlife hospital in Queensland and provide care and rehabilitation of over 24,000 nativ...e animals each year. ~ You could win $250k worth of gold and other awesome prizes in the @playforpurpose lottery, with $5 of each ticket sold going directly to RSPCA QLD to help rescue, rehome and care for animals! ~ Head to my stories for the link or find it here: https://playforpurpose.com.au/rspca-qld ~ Good luck! ~ #playforpurpose #rspcaqld #rspca #animalwelfare #rspcaqldambassador #charityweek #giveback #queensland #australia #charity #love #animals #fightanimalcruelty See more

02.01.2022 Such a great reminder of the common misconceptions when it comes to sun safety and skin cancer Posted @withregram @cancercouncil New data shows that Aussies aged 25-44 have some of the worst sun protection habits of all Australians. So, we think it’s time to put yourself to the test. Grab the kids and try our SunSmart quiz. Post your score out of 10 in the comments below! 1. Shade, clothing, hats, sunglasses and sunscreen... 2. 3 or higher 3. 20 minutes 4. Every two hours or more often if you’re swimming or sweating 5. SPF30 (or higher) broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen 6. True 7. True: it only protects part of your head and face but not all of it 8. No 9. Yes, by using sun protection 10. No, that’s why other sun protection measures like hats, clothing and shade are still important See more
01.01.2022 Posted @withregram @melanomapatientsaust Once you hear the jingle, it’s hard to get it out of your head @cancercouncil first brought Sid Seagull onto our screens in the 1980s, and this National Skin Cancer Action Week, his message is as important as ever. Tens of thousands of Aussies get treated for skin cancer every year it can and does kill. Cancer Council, @acderm and @melanomapatientsaust want to remind all Aussies whether they remember this original jingle or not to take care in the sun this summer and Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek, Slide.
