05.01.2022 Just done another order of Rainbow and Pink so we don't run out! Still have alot of made up stuff but these have to be a favorite. :)

05.01.2022 Not all horse halters are made and tied the same! So when you're looking for halters a good tip to check is lay the halter out flat as shown. The cheek, throat and nose knots should all line up(blue line). The gullet and chin straps should also line up (purple line) and be shorter than the cheek/throat straps. At JRT we also not only use quality ropes but also back splice tie straps leaving no burnt ends and stitch the faidor knot for extra security.

04.01.2022 Not all halters are the same. Both these halters are "Pony size" Purple one is a JRT halter of course and if you look close enough our ends are also back spliced and not just cut off and burnt. ;)

03.01.2022 Have more trigger snaps for reins back in stock

03.01.2022 The correct size halter is very important, but it is also important to know how to tie them correctly and learn when to see if a halter may be tied too loosely.... A halter tied too loose can appear as if the halter is the wrong size for the horse. When a halter is tied too loose it causes the noseband to drop down on the nose. This causes the noseband to sit right on the tip of the sensitive bone on the nose. If a horse pulls back with a halter like this it can damage that sensitive bone. A low noseband also runs the risk of falling down and sliding in the horses mouth when a horse pulls back. Also when a halter is tied too loosely the cheek strap falls infront of the jaw line, This causes a lose in communication when asking a horse to move forward. The contact runs straight to the poll of the horse. When a halter is tied snug behind the jaw line when asking a horse to move forward the halter will distribute the pressure around the jaw and then to the poll, cradling the horses entire head as you encourage the horse to move forward. Not only will a well fitting halter help you communicate with your horse to its full potential it will keep you and your horse safe and comfortable . See more
