24.01.2022 BROOME Camel rides on the beach were definitely a highlight of our Broome adventures!! Cape Leveque weekend getaway was also amazing, glad we ventured up there. Sacred Heart Church Beagle Bay which takes about an hour to get to from Broome on a dirt road in the Dampier Peninsula. The altar is decorated with mother of pearl shell and really is stunning. We spent the night camping at Gumbanan Bush Camp right on the water which was beautiful and refreshing to swim. Nath...an caught himself a mudcrab to take home for dinner. We had a tour of Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm which was interesting and we quite enjoyed it. See more

17.01.2022 BROOME We absolutely loved Broome! Driving, fishing and swimming on Cable Beach, the amazing sunsets, Streeters Jetty, Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park, Chinatown, searching for dinosaur footprints at Gantheaume Point, Town Beach, the Stairway to the Moon not just once but twice. Broome is incredible!!

17.01.2022 Yesterday we spent a couple of hours exploring the Bungle Bungles (Purnululu National Park) on a 9.45km walk. The Window Piccaninny Creek Lookout Cathedral Gorge... The Domes The banded domes are made of sandstone deposited about 360 million years ago. The orange & grey bands are caused by the presence or absence of Cyanobacteria. Dark bands indicate the presence of the cyanobacteria, which grows on layers of sandstone where moisture accumulates. The orange bands have basically dried out too quickly for the cyanobacteria to grow!

12.01.2022 Pink Lake, Gregory WA Hutt Lagoon better known as Pink Lake spans 70 square kilometres and the pink colour is due to the presence of dunaliella salina, a bacteria that lives in the salt deposits. There are no filters on any of these photos. Pinnacles Desert, Nambung National Park WA... Rising mysteriously from the sand dunes are thousands of limestone pillars up to 4m tall. Some are jagged, sharp-edged columns rising to a point, others resemble tombstones. See more

09.01.2022 Our time in Kununurra - 6 weeks to be exact! Gummy the friendly toothless croc at Kimberleyland Waterfront Holiday Park Our mates Gilbo & Casey took us to Ivanhoe Crossing while our car was still at the mechanics, was a great day Then finally getting the car back, washing it & moving on to Kimberley Croc Motel in town - we cannot fault it; Lisa the manager is amazing! Highly recommend!! Nathan picked up a few weeks work at the sandalwood company to help us get some e...xtra funds to continue our journey. Then unfortunately someone smashed the back window of the utes canopy. We had just replaced this exact window a couple months ago in Darwin Nathan has spent a lot of time with mates fishing around Kununurra We took the Navara for a run across Ivanhoe Crossing then spent the afternoon at Molly Springs a beautiful freshwater swimming hole just outta town There’s also a shot of our new mate Max Time to hit the road See more

08.01.2022 Shell Beach Trillions of tiny shells piled up to 10 metres deep make up Shell Beach which is one of only two beaches in the world made entirely of shells. Steep Point We made the remote 4WD track out to Steep Point which is the westernmost point of mainland Australia. Approx 180km each way and probably the roughest road we have found. We only took a day trip out but wished we had of stayed. Absolutely stunning beach campsites with serious fishing and swimming in the cle...arest water. Hamelin Pool Stromatolites Stromatolites are ‘living fossils’ and these ones are the oldest and largest living fossils on earth. They are layered mounds, columns, and sheet-like rocks that were originally formed by the growth of layer upon layer of cyanobacteria. Fossilized stromatolites provide records of ancient life on earth. They have been around for over 3 billion years!

06.01.2022 Cape Peron in the Francois Peron National Park. Check out the red sand dunes meeting the white beaches with turquoise water. Stunning! We went to Cape Peron, Skipjack Point, Bottle Bay, Big Lagoon & Little Lagoon. Beautiful scenery and finished the 4WD track at the Peron Homestead where we both had a soak and relaxed in the artesian hot tub.

Camped at Bruboodjoo station right on the beach before heading into Coral Bay which was absolutely amazing, definitely the best beach we have been to so far!
