20.01.2022 Autumn in the Margaret River Region is all about those late afternoon surf check vibes with your bestie. Watch out for those locals though, we hear they're not ...shy of hopping into everyones business! The Cape to Cape track is a 123km long walk trail that runs through stunning coastal scenery, sheltered forests and pristine beaches. Beginning and ending at Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse in the north and Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse in the south the views are absolutely gorgeous. Surprise scenes like these cheeky kangaroos captured by Vita Lumen are classic of a trek along the famous route and quite simply the cherry on the cake of a truly immersive nature experience.

We have three great adult daughters who have been successful in their respective careers. I turned my love of horses into a career and even represented Australia through the late 80s and early 90s in the sport of Polocrosse. We now own and run a thriving equestrian tourism business out of the old family farm. And still live in the house I was probably conceived in! 12.01.2022 Last night the WA Premier Mark McGowan announced that the short-sharp lockdown of Perth, Peel and the South West will end at 6pm this evening, providing no comm...unity spread of the virus is recorded today. The South West will return to pre-lockdown conditions however people in Perth and Peel will be unable to travel to the South West for non-essential purposes for the next week. While we are relieved and grateful that the lockdown was short-lived, for many in our community business as usual means welcoming visitors and showing them the best of the South West. They can't wait to welcome you back when it is safe to do so. 11.01.2022 When the largest animal on earth comes to visit (blue whale, they visit every spring) it'd be rude not to go and say g'day, right!? Dylan Dehaas Films was lu...cky enough to see twelve of these magnificent creatures over the weekend, and it looks like the people aboard Naturaliste Charters would have been bubbling with excitement too. Blue whales grow to around 29 metres and 170+ tonnes, making them the largest animal on the planet. They migrate through Geographe Bay each year as they travel between the Antarctic breeding and feeding ground and the warm 'maternity ward' waters of the Kimberley region. It's estimated that only a few hundred blue whales migrate along the West Australian coast each year, while around 35,000 humpback whales make the annual journey. Be sure to join a whale watching cruise before the season wraps up - there are charters departing Dunsborough and Busselton twice a day. 11.01.2022 What could possibly top a sunset in Western Australia? A sunset with a magnificent Hamelin Bay stingray waving hello! IG/lets.go.this.way spent a few days r...elaxing in Hamelin Bay, enjoying the turquoise waters and beautiful beaches, with the added bonus of resident rays cruising the shoreline. Hamelin Bay is the perfect gateway to a heap of awesome family activities, and they explored caves, wineries, the beach (of course), amazing sunsets and a cute little maze. There's also a sculpture park, the nearby town of Augusta, meandering rivers and a lighthouse to climb! But in the words of @lets.go.this.way, Hamelin Bay is the ’Best place ever!’ A note to please take care: stingrays are wild animals and some have a venomous barb on their tails which they may use if threatened or frightened. Look but don’t touch and stay several metres away.

Our tip: The 1.841km-long Busselton Jetty is a great iconic spot to watch the sun go down. During the day, you can also walk or catch the train to the very end of the jetty - the longest wooden piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere - and delve below the surface in the Underwater Observatory, where you'll find a colourful world of corals and sea-life.
