04.01.2022 Over the past 3 posts on the Australian Sprint Horse History page, Jody Murray, you have given me a reminder for the basis of my breeding program. Firstly I want to have a fair concentration of Jet Deck, to combine with Go Man Go and Dash for Cash. The main reason for me was not only the strong, functional, speed built conformation all 3 stallions attributed BUT importantly the undoubtable versatility that was proven in descendants. What I mean is importantly for me, strivi...ng to breed (hopefully) top class barrel horses...they are not only dirty fast in a straight line but they have the want to perform and turn. The Class and Performance records that all 3 horses had, and passed on through generations was evident time after time. Which through many years of research, both through Australian and American high profile performance horses, these 3 stallions evidently would be in a huge percentage. I also learnt, that the combination of Three Bars and Leo mares was undoubtedly of huge influence. A very successful combination, the hybrid vigor in this combination produce strong, versatile, functional and importantly fast horses. That's in short the first step and rational in my program, I have spent 16 years slowly collecting horses infused with these Great stallions. I must mention that Maternal lines are of huge importance, and I have paid particular attention to keeping strength in those most important bottom sides of any horses I have purchased breeding. Their has to be consistency through the whole pedigree for me, keeping the eye on my main goal of strong, fast but versatile progeny. I could continue on but will leave it there. See more
