05.01.2022 Motivational Monday INVEST IN YOUR HEALTH When you’re in good physical shape, you experience lower stress levels, your self- esteem is boosted, your emotions are more balanced, you’re able to be less reactive with your loved ones, and you feel more positive. You generally just feel better about yourself. ... Your body is the vehicle for which you’re given so that you can lead an optimal life, and we only get one! So, it’s necessary to give it the exercise it needs to maintain its mobility and strength, feeding it the right fuel for energy and vitality, and giving it adequate rest and downtime, so that it can recover to perform at is best. WHAT DOES AN EXPENSIVE HANDBAG GET YOU?

05.01.2022 What is posture? Posture is the relationship of body parts, whether standing, lying or moving. Good posture allows efficient function and movement with the least expenditure of energy and stress on body parts. So what is good posture?... Good posture is the maintenance of proper alignment, whether static or moving and is achieved by having the correct balance of flexibility and strength in the muscles of the body, especially those around the trunk area. Poor posture may occur for the following reasons: * Disease/injury * Pain * Lifestyle/habits * Occupation * Hereditary * Congenital * Poor flexibility * Stress The best way to improve your posture is to focus on exercises that strengthen your core the abdominal and low back muscles that connect to your spine and pelvis. Some of these muscles move your torso by flexing, extending, or rotating your spine.

03.01.2022 Drinking enough water and staying hydrated is so important when comes to your health, fitness and physique goals! Especially now when it’s getting hotter out !! But why is water important & what is it used for?... The body is actually around 65-75% water!! So we need to make sure we're replenishing what is lost throughout the day, especially when working out! Temp regulation through sweating Movement of chemicals around body Medium for chemical reactions Elimination of waste materials and toxins Integral part of all muscles Carrier medium for blood cells Skin! The condition of your skin is linked to hydration! it's so beneficial for clearing skin if you suffer with acne or spots Bloating (helps with digestion) keeps you fuler meaning less likely to feel as hungry Soo... bottoms up try aim for 2-3 litres a day!
01.01.2022 1. Give yourself freedom. It’s time to let go of strict food rules. No more classing food as ‘good’ or ‘bad’, or thinking that you aren’t allowed to eat certain foods. You can eat whatever you want if you truly feel like it. 2. Tune in to your hunger and satiety cues. Before you eat, take a moment to ask yourself if you’re actually hungry. Can you feel your stomach grumbling? Does your stomach feel empty? If not, are you actually just thirsty? Perhaps you’re bored or emotiona...l, and don’t actually need to eat at all. Try to identify your triggers and only eat if you are actually hungry. 3. Be present. Far too often, we see people mindlessly eating. Mouthful after mouthful without a second thought, scrolling on social media, watching TV or replying to emails. Instead, you should take a step back and be present in the moment. Pay attention to the smell, taste and texture of your food, and really savour each mouthful (rather than scoffing it all in five seconds flat). Putting down your knife and fork between each bite can be helpful, too. 4. Let go of all or nothing. Does ‘new year, new me’ sound familiar? The silly season is no excuse for a daily calorie bomb just because the New Year is around the corner (and you promise yourself that this *will* be the year to get fit and lose weight). This all or nothing mentality just doesn’t work instead, it’s important to work on moderation. 5. Don’t skip meals. Eating a healthy breakfast is key no matter what day of the year it is, so don’t skip it in the hope of saving calories for later in the day. If you kick-start your day with a nutritious breakky, you won’t arrive at Christmas lunch absolutely ravenous (which will ultimately lead you to consume more calories anyway). 6. Don’t go berserk at the buffet. More often than not, Christmas buffets are abundant with every type of festive food under the sun. So, take a moment to scan the entire range of what’s on offer and pick a few of your favourite choices rather than taking a bit of everything and ending up with a mountain of food to make your way through! If you’re still hungry, you can always go back for more. 7. Keep up healthy habits. Don’t forget the importance of regular exercise and enough sleep to keep you going strong. ENJOY YOUR CHRISTMAS!!!
