Cover your mouth when coughing with a towel or your elbow General hygiene courtesy applies. If someone else was to do it in front of you and you don't like it. 15.01.2022 In order to gain weight, you simply must eat more calories than you burn. You cant get around this fact and no workout, supplements or even drugs will pack muscle on your body if you arent eating enough. TRACK YOUR INTAKE In order to apply this advice, you must learn to track your food so that you know definitively how many calories you need. If you dont do this you are guessing at best. PROTEIN I usually round up for hardgainers to 2 grams of protein per kilo of bodyweight. In other words, if you weight70 kilos you should aim for 140g of protein per day. Once you hit that 2 grams of protein per kilo of body weight goal, eat extra calories in the form of carbohydrates and fats. Once you figure out your total calorie goal, try to get at least 30-40% of your calories from carbs. Example 70kg male should consume 3000 calories a day (12,500kj) which is roughly 225 to 300 grams of carbohydrates per day. FATS Dont be afraid of fats! Eat them up! My recommendation is to make fat account for about 15-30% of your calories. Example This means a 70kg male who is consuming 3000 calories (12,500 KJ) should have 50-100 grams of fat a day. 11.01.2022 The deadlift is as functional as it gets; pick something up from the floor, then put it back down from where you got it. Fitness manifested. The deadlift uses our entire posterior chain (all the muscles on the backside of our body). These are the muscles that get neglected with our sedentary, 21st century lives. So the potential form this movement goes beyond helping us build muscle and lose weight; it can help our posture and thus help us avoid injury. The caveat here being we need to do the movement correctly. Never fear, Jetts is here!

What about the negatives of living longer, and being happier? Wait a second... we got that wrong. There is no negatives to working out! You may say that after working out you get sore. Be sure to think about if what your feeling is because of injury or if it simply because you have had one hell of a good workout! If you find yourself having muscle soreness instead of excruitiating pain. There is nothing wrong with that. If you find yourself getting joint pain/inflammation or you are just in agony for days. 06.01.2022 "Do this stretch before your next upper body workout Because we spend so much time in front of screens (especially working from home) its more than likely that youll encounter an episode of back pain. One of the reasons people experience chronic pain is due to lack of mobility. Mobility isn't just about flexibility you can be flexible, but still lack the strength to move to full range of motion. Heres how to perform the Open Book Stretch:... Lay on your side with your knees bent at 90 degrees. Breathe in as you move your top arm across your body and turn your head and shoulders with it, keeping your knees firmly placed on the floor. Breathe out as you hold the stretch for around ten to fifteen seconds, then return to the start and repeat 10 times. You should feel a pretty decent (but pleasant) stretch throughout your upper body. Keeping your abs activated when you perform this will be important for lower back stability and this stretch is an important primer for upper-body movement, especially exercises such as the overhead press, where many people tend to extend at the lower back to compensate for their lack of thoracic and shoulder mobility. If youre new to stretching in general, begin slowly never force a stretch! Start by holding each stretch for 20 to 30 seconds and dont forget to b r e a t h e. If youre not sure how to stretch safely, if youve had surgery or an injury, or have pain in your lower body, chat to a Jetts Team Member before doing any glute stretches. #jetts #jettsathome #stretching
