02.01.2022 Exciting news! Jewels In Vogue finally has a logo. . It started with a sudden spark of creative idea on a weekend morning. But before I jump into it, let me give you some background information. I'm Hungarian and I recently started to become interested in folk arts such as embroidery. The Hungarian folk arts use beautiful floral patterns varying in colours and styles as main motifs depending on the geographical region. Last year, I learnt embroidery from my grandmother whos...e work is admirable. Recently, I started embroidering a table cloth and that what inspired using the tulip in the logo. I spent hours looking up dresses, wall paintings in temples, different household items, and embroidery patterns that have the tulip motif. From all these research and ideas, I came up with the hand drawn version which to be honest doesn't look as pretty and symmetric as the final version. But luckily I had people helping out to make this gorgeous tulip logo. Huge thanks to Szasza Palmer for digitalising the logo and making it this vibrant! Thank you Krisztina Palmer for always being there as an advisor and giving helpful suggestions! It was definitely a team effort! . I always liked the blooming tulips during spring. Tulips are elegant and graceful flowers that symbolise love and romance in today's setting. However, tulips have a deep rooted significance in the Hungarian folklore for which ethnographers found two different meanings. Tulips symbolise the woman being the outer petals who carry a child in her womb. Other sources suggest an association with the tree of life. Personally, it makes me happy to see the tulip motif as the logo of Jewels In Vogue. Tulip is not just a pretty flower but also bears a great deal of significance to my Hungarian heritage. .
