20.01.2022 Had a great Wednesday tattooing the beautiful Mischa She came in wanting a snake outline next to her funny little rose she had tattooed by an apprentice at another studio... She wanted them to look unified but I was concerned she’d end up with 2 seperate designs that weren’t cohesive. After our consult I was able to reinvent her inner arm with a snake outline, new rose, cover up of old rose & some pretty blue water colours. Happy client, pretty ink ... So many awesome food outlets right near me, & days when I bring my lunch I can sit down at the lake & enjoy all the everything Just finished some purfect powder brows, now lunch by the lake sharing it with the seagulls, & then pretty peacock thigh pokes this afternoon. 18.01.2022 The fabulous Tracy came in for a tricky ‘skin puzzle’ cover up on her foot and ankle. She had a heavy black crucifix and Rosary beads that she never liked, & wanted something more feminine- Daphne flowers in tribute to her grandmother. Daphnes aren’t the most delicate looking floral bunches, so it was a challenge to soften up the design while also hiding chunky black rosary bits. Feet skin can also be thicker and more calloused, making it tougher to tattoo...so all hurdles... aside I’m pretty happy with the project so far. I free-handed everything, & the anklet area will be finished next session, redesigned to look more femine & adding some charms to it in Tracy’s children’s initials. 17.01.2022 Perfect Saturday. These 2 awesome humans Sarah & Jarrad, are celebrating their 12 year anniversary with a weekend of skin pics at Jezabelles Tattoo Lounge & Beauty Bar It’s coincidentally my 12 yr anniversary too! I did my first tattoo (on my own foot) Halloween 2008! And yet more anniversaries ... ...4 yrs ago today Sarah & Jarrod started their tattoo journey with me I tattooed a Harry Potter design on Sarah’s forearm, & a storm trooper on Jarrads upper arm. You can see the Potter piece in the video still looking picture purfect 4 yrs later Yesterday we poked Sarah in the back with a black raven, & today we poked Jarrads arm with R2D2 We also ate donuts, loved on the puppy, watched movies, made skin pics & had an epic weekend. I finished it off with fish & chips, couch, pup, rain, & the new Bieber doco on the tube. Saturday done right

16.01.2022 I’ve posted in-depth about this amazing family before, so I’ll just keep it fairly brief tonight. These 2 incredible humans are my friends, Roz & Andrew. About 6 yrs ago I had a beautiful young girl, Gemma, booked in for a compass tattoo. She wasn’t to make the booking, as only days before I’d get to meet her she sadly took her life.... Weeks later Gemmas mum Roz messaged me, wanting to come & get the compass tattoo Gemma had booked in for. Before she came in for her tattoo, Roz found a picture of a compass drawn by Gemma in her belongings...& I encouraged Roz to get that exact design done exactly how Gemma drew it, flaws & all. We added pretty water colour around the compass drawing, as it became the starting piece of a full family sleeve, & a life long friendship between Roz & myself. It was a friendship baptised in fire, & we rose from the ashes to see each other through a myriad of life events, wins & losses, over these last 6 yrs. I’ve spent at least a hundred hours decorating Roz’s skin over the yrs, as she used her tattoo sessions as ‘ink therapy’ while dealing with her loss. Roz was a package deal, also bringing her husband Andrew to our family of friendship table. Sometime after I first tattooed Roz, Andrew came in for a memorial tattoo, Gemma’s name on his inner arm. Andrew returned recently for his first session at Jezabelles, & we put Gemma’s compass on Andrews forearm. I included some of Gemma’s hand writing, & highlighted letters in blue ink that spells ‘Andrew’ within the script. It’s been a long 6 yrs & I’m proud to call Roz & Andrew my friends/chosen family. I’ve seen what they’ve gone through as no parent should ever have to endure what they have. I’m forever in awe of how they’ve managed to remain (mostly) intact, both incredibly caring humans, still able to laugh, love & live. Life is precious... 11.01.2022 Woohoo! I've finally had a hot minute to get the Jezabelle limited edition tshirts designed! As with the limited edition hoodies, Im doing pre-orders only, they wont be stocked after this run. I really wanted to do something that incorporated everything Jezabelles, me, & a nod to my previous studio the Alley, where my career took off & my style & clientelle was established. It was a private, fun, unique little studio of just me & my clients, filled with pop culture treasur...es & gifts from my travels & my clients. It was a combination of comic book shop & tattoo studio, & people loved it as much as I did. Years later, I now have my own private boutique studio, with a beautiful burlesque vibe & vintage appeal. Named in honour of my little cat Jezabelle, who passed away in April during covid lockdown. That major loss was the catalyst to building my own studio during a pandemic & recession no less, & my saving grace during one of the hardest times of my life. 6 months on, Jezabelles is successful, busy, enjoyed & appreciated by my amazing clients who have followed me from the early days to now, & my wonderful new clients who have joined the journey with Jezabelles. 10.01.2022 Last week was full circle... Early in the week I gave Karen a plasma lift treatment. Karen was Bells acupuncturist & became part of our little feline family, helping my senior girl right through to the end with holistic healing. Mid week I tattooed Leo’s wonderful vet nurse Bella. We fixed & finished a tattoo project she had started by another artist sometime ago, & end of the week I tattooed the fabulous Kerrie, one of Bells vet nurses at the Cat Clinic in Brisbane. Kerrie ...needed a tricky cover up over a very black tattoo in a difficult spot. We got her adorable Toothless skin candy sorted (photo below) All week I was spoiled for awesome conversation about my girl Bells (she’s been gone 7 months already ) & my mini man Leo. I’m so grateful to have had the expertise of the crew at the Cat Clinic over the years, it’s very hard finding a really good cat vet & Bells had the best there is with Dr Marcus & his team. I miss them...when you lose a fur kid quite often there’s a whole community of people involved with your animal that you don’t get to see anymore. It’s a bigger goodbye than just your immediate loss. Karen (Bells acupuncturist) introduced me to the Pet Wellness Centre in Burleigh where she works, & it’s now become Leo’s furever vet clinic, with truly caring vets & nurses that spoil him rotten & treat him like the little fluffy rockstar that he is Our animal carers deserve medals...it’s one if the hardest jobs there is keeping our fur kids healthy, with knowledge required for multiple species & none of them speaking english, & having to deal with the humans who bring their animals in...it’s no wonder vets & vet nurses have one of the highest rates of suicide & mental health issues. When you find your clinic that fits you & you fur kid...be kind to the staff. Your kids life is in their hands, & they’re doing their best with what you afford them I’m currently booked until mid January with the following dates available- 12th-17th 20th-24th 29th-31st with February now open for bookings. 08.01.2022 Had the fabulous Susan in today for some Plasma Lift treatment of her crows feet & upper eye area. Susan is enjoying some self love during this crazy covid year, & so far we’ve given her brows a make over with powder brow treatment, given her lips a hint of colour with lip blushing, & today we’ve started freshening up her skin in the areas that annoy her most. 05.01.2022 Sean came in recently to chip away at his Disney sleeve, that incorporates a bloody big southern cross tattoo cover up! Never an easy puzzle, I’ve managed to bury it under the demon Chernabog from the Disney movie Fantasia. We’ve already done apprentice Mickey on the other side of the forearm...& we’re ready to roll on now the hardest part is sorted Between the Mickey & Cherna, I’ve also made sure I included 5 stars within the design (in the magical misty backfill), for Sea...n’s family member. The southern cross was originally his tribute to a family member who served in the war, but because society is incredibly judgemental & overly opinionated, Sean was tired of getting negative comments about his tattoo, so although we’ve covered it, I included the 5 stars throughout the design to keep with the initial memorial. 04.01.2022 After several long years...Emma’s Disney sleeve is complete woohoo!!! What a journey! I’ve been tattooing this beautiful woman for over a decade, watching her grow from a sensitive gal who really struggled with tattoo discomfort, to this sleeved up tattoo vixen who can sit for hours without a complaint (ok maybe one or two ). Emma decided on the big solid Disney castle as the first image 7 years ago, & I’m not sure it was going to become a sleeve at that point. I informe...d her it was a pretty chunky choice that could be difficult to work with later on, but she was sure & off we went. Over the years Emma has popped in when life allows, to add another of her favourite characters...some of these Disney gems have seen more sun than they should, & you can see the more recent additions have had a better time of it. If your going for colour tattoos, 50+ spray on sunblock should be your daily to protect your skin, art & investment. I know it’s a pain in the bum but you’ll be glad you did years on when your colours are still vibrant We recently added the dalmation pup & I was throwing out background suggestions to unify her characters & make it a cohesive sleeve. 04.01.2022 Found a hot minute to have myself some self care! It’s been 14 months since I had my brows tattooed by another beautician (I paid almost twice what I charge & was left very disappointed). A month later I re-did them myself trying to fix the previous shape errors & cover up the wrong colour used. I thankfully managed to sort my brows, & after 13 months I was ready for a second pass now most of the first tattoo (done by the other beautician) had mostly faded.... Yay fresh brows that in a few weeks will look perfectly manicured, even, yet natural for another year or so I have vailability from mid Feb, & currently pausing from enquiry replies while I’m booked out & juggling Christmas. 02.01.2022 I’ve been so busy I haven’t found time to post work lately...so here’s some snaps of ‘before & afters’ of lovely lady powder brows I’ve done recently I love tattooing, but brows especially knowing first hand how it can literally change & improve your life! So many thanks to everyone requesting bookings, & to my valued clients coming in for tattoos, brows, lips & plasma lift treatments keeping me busy I’ve had so many awesome projects, & generally I’m on social media da...ily to share photos & videos...but I spend too much time online with emails & enquiries I’ve needed to step back & give my eyes, hands & mind a screen time break from reading, typing & posting I have 3 precious days off from Jan the 25th to the 27th, to head up to the Sunny Coast for some R&R with my pup & my bestie...my first little holiday in over 4 years! & when I get back I’m excited to get started on some little refurbs in the studio, plus a special project I’m starting called BFF (best friends furever- tattoo, paw print & photo packages involving tributes &/or memorials of your fur kids with a percentage going to help rescue animals & shelters), AND getting back on the socials sharing images of work I do daily while chipping away at the overflowing inquiry inbox.
