25.01.2022 Money Piece _____________________________________ Can we just take a mintute to appreciate this bold bright face frame highlights, absolutely in love!... My sweet came to me not to sure whether to go dark or go light so I was like why don’t we do both? So I went through highlighted all around the face, for that bright pop of colour, but also for when she ties her hair up, she doesn’t have a dark ring around the face. To every 2 highlights I added in 1 slice of a lowlight to make sure the highlights didnt take over and to add depth and dimesion. For toning we sectioned out the money piece section and then glosed everything else with 8.12 + 8.32 and then kept the front lighter with 9.12 + 9.1 and a drop of 9.3 + zero lift processing all of a total of 10mins, rinsed and then sealed and hydrated her hair with my favourite treatment #3minuterepairtreatment and fininsed off with a gorgoues textured wave. Turning this long mane into a beautiful deep rich red, keeping it quite mature & not being to outrageous & bright. Now if anyone knows Bec she loves her red's after being a solid redhead for over 6 years & her knowledge of maintaining the colour shes your gal as shes been through it all. 18.01.2022 Warm tones ____________________________________ Did you know warmth or colours such as gold, copper reds & beige actually reflect light so will always appear lighter and brighter & cool colours such as ash, matte & greys actually absorb light & look darker and duller!... This is why whenever you have experienced getting a gloss & you go ‘ashy’ grey/silver you will always appear darker or even when you use purple shampoo every wash ( which is a no no ) and you just go darker and duller even in the brightest of rooms. It’s weird I know but something we face daily. Can I just start with how Rebecca absolutely nailed this tricky colour correction & we are all in love with the result! Bec went through with 20volume back to back highlights & using 10volume to feather down evening out the bands & cleaning out the entire base completely. After lifting to desired level we rinsed & apply a soft root tap to blur & have a softer grow out in between appointments & glossed to a cool neutral beige blonde & then doing a deep hydrating protein mask #3minuterepairtreatment we finished off with a good clean up with the haircut & some glam waves to add that extra bit of glam & I’ll say it again WOW! 17.01.2022 Major Colour Correction ______________________ This would have to one of my biggest technical colour correction ever taking me right back to basics with counteracting colours and utilising the colour wheel.... I was so down to take it on! My sweet just wanted the blue GONE & tried everything from home remedies & cheap shampoos to strip it out but nothing worked, so it was time to hit the salon. We went through with our consultation & I decided on 3 test strands, first one was lightener + 20vol in foil, second one was copper & third was a copper/red. The lightener proved to be the best lifting out the harsh blue colour to a soft minty green which was easier to counteract and achieve a wearable colour as the opposite to green is red After applying & lifting all her hair I had it light enough to go in with #shadeseq pastel pink + 9RB which eliminated a lot but I still wasn’t 100% after rinsing so I then overlaid 1/2 6RB & 1/2 6VRO & let sit for the full 20mins a BAM THE BLUE IS GONE! 15.01.2022 Turning a shade of pink _____________________________________ I always get excited when my sweets come in and they want a change!... @_maddzz22_ has always been a long & bright blondie but on this appointment she wanted to switch it up by incorporating a soft pink into her blonde & to chop a good 3-4inches off! So we went a did our usual full head highlights, lifting clean and light I flossed all over with 9RB + 9V & dash of pastel pink in #shadeseq & processed for the full 20mins and VOILA! Ever gone back to the chair after we have finished your colour and had a mini heart attack because it looks so dark? We wanted something easier to maintain as we all know how much of an upkeep of platinum is, but also didn’t want to go to dark so it was - 1. Easier to go back if she didn’t like it. 2. So it wasn’t a massive shock and she has the choice to go darker next time. And my gurrl Rebecca hooked her up with this stunning golden mane which was the perfect fit! Just like goldilocks, the bed was to hard the other to soft but the last one was juuuust right! 11.01.2022 Copper Goddess _____________________________________ This would have to be the most realistic starting point with going lighter.... My sweet came in want to blur out her natural regrowth and remove as much of her old black colour out as possible and was just honestly happy to see off the dark. As always we pre warn whenever going from something this dark about the lifting process and colour stages you will hit and she was totally down for it. And can I just say being a lover of blondes, gold & coppers are always what I try to avoid but boy im in love with how this has turned out & an amazing first session. I went through lightening out with a full head highlight 20volume almost doing back to back knowing we will be going lighter so a weaved full head would make next time hard to pick out the darker bits and also the client would feel as if she is getting no where and sessions would take a lot longer. We then processed for maximum time to ensure enough lift but knowing we were going to hit copper was enviable. Once we rinsed instead of trying to tone out all the warmth and it to go all muddy, I chose to enhanced it with an all over gloss of 6.4 + 6.3 + zero lift to smooth and even it all out. Finished her off with a conditioning and repairing Olaplex stand alone treatment and some gorgeous mermaid waves. 09.01.2022 Birthday Blondie _____________________________________ My sweet got in just in time for her birthday, after holding out while I was reopening so that regrowth just had to go ... We went through and did a full head highlights, processing upto to 40-50mins lifting to a clean pale blonde. After rinsing out the foils due to it being a little while her ends needed a little pick me up, so I went through and powderlightner + 20vol and feathered up to her pre lightened regrowth area & processed for 5-10 mins. I then went through and toned with 9.12 + 9.1 & a dash of 8.32 to keep her from going to ashy & still maintain her brightness. Processed for a total 10mins and finishing off with a deluxe moisture treatment at the basin. Giving her my signature loose wave to give her that extra glam feel and gurrrrl she’s ready! 04.01.2022 We cut it all off! _____________________________________ My sweet came in wanting a complete new look! She wanted a light as she could be & to do the CHOP ... That’s when we get a little excited & get to work straight away. We started off by taking of majority of her length still leaving 3-4 inches for the final haircut & style, then went through with a scalp bleach retouch, processing for a full 40-50mins ensuring even lift, then rinsed and before shampooing, I went through and sprayed her scalp with @elevenaustralia #detanglemyhair as it’s rich in antioxidants & active ingredients like Rosemary Leaf extract, Pear & Nettle soothe and calm the scalp. I softly massage it in before shampoo & again do a light spray before applying her toner as scalp bleach sessions can be quite tough on the scalp and I only do a select few clients as it’s not a service for everybody. We then went through and applied 9.12 + 10.1 + dash of LS & zero lift processing until desired result was achieved, rinsed & finished of with a hydrating treatment at the basin #3minuterepairtreatment Bringing her back to the chair it was time for the haircut which Rebecca absolutely nailed the perfect sharp long bob, then finishingwith the flat iron & my favourite finishing spray #makemeshinespraygloss , it’s smell alone it’s amazing but with the added benefits of anti humidity, controlling flyways & adding shine its just like hair perfume just better! 02.01.2022 Lived in blonde ____________________________________ You can still be a lower maintenance blondie with just adding on a root smudge/ root tap or root stretch depending on your desired look.... A root smudge is - where we are adding in a artificial root colour smudging that into a mid colour & then smudging that into the ends colour, it gives a soft transitional look from dark to light. A root tap is - just as it says, a tap. This is where we literally just tap on an artificial root colour in between your highlights, generally applied with a bottle of precision. It eliminates any lines of demarcation & allows for a soft grow out. A root stretch is - this can range from 1inch down to 3 inches depending on your desired look and is custom to every single client! This is where we match with your natural and are stretch or bringing down the roots to create quite a dark root area in lighter ends generally turning you into a highlighted dimensional balayage. We started off with previously coloured ends and a whole lotta natural new growth & hair so thick this full service took 5 hours to complete & well worth every minute. We did a big chop, taking off a lot of length & giving her soft face framing layers but I’m more in love with the colour & along with mum we always are trying to sway her from colouring it.
