21.01.2022 Throw back to when we repaired this little kit car Sometimes we get to work on such unique cars. Can you believe that this vehicle is almost 50 years old ? It had an overheating issue....... After a full check over the vehicle, we found that the fans were not turning on. Also, we pressure tested the cooling system, only to find a pin size hole in the radiator. While we were under there, we saw how Brittle and deteriorated the hoses for the cooling system were as well. 19.01.2022 Can you notice the difference between these belts ? The one on the left is brand new, whereas the one on the right is about to snap and should've been replaced a long time ago. DON'T BE FOOLED!... Where ever you decide to take your vehicle, it is important to make sure that not only is the job being done correctly, but that the job is actually being done in general. Many times, we have checked over vehicles after repairs have been done, to find that the parts that were supposed to be replaced, weren't touched at all. There are people out there who just want the money. They tick all the boxes to make the customer happy and to show they have done the work. We have lost count of how many times vehicles don't get checked correctly due to lack of workmanship. 18.01.2022 Why is a brake fluid flush necessary? Alot of people tend to misunderstand the importance of a brake fluid flush. In this photo, you can see us holding a wheel cylinder that was removed due to a blockage. Before removing, we were attempting to do a brake fluid flush not realizing that there was a clog somewhere. ... This is why it is very important for your brake fluid to be replaced when needed or at the correct intervals. Both rear wheel cylinders were blocked, causing an incorrect and an unsafe braking response. Over time, brake fluid absorbs moisture from the atmosphere. This reduces it's boiling point and corrodes brake system components. Heat generated by the brakes can cause water logged fluid to boil, resulting in sudden and unexpected brake failure. 17.01.2022 7000rpm @8psi, for now. A day before the dyno, both the turbo and the oil pressure sender unit failed. We were onto it while everyone was sleeping, not stopping until this beast was done and ready to unleash it's power. That hard work paid off. SUCCESS. It ran well on the dyno.
