13.01.2022 RFID - Radio Frequency Identification, its been around for a long time but recently there has been quite a lot of development... and progress in the hardware involved chips and readers. You can have antennas in form of stickers on cable ties, they could be retrofitted to equipment and then you can use a gadget like this one to read the signal from the antenna and put information into a software. It is a great tool especially for rope access companies or other companies who have requirements for gear inspection, this make inspection of equipment very quickly, it makes it easy to maintain registers but also makes it easy to know where your tools are because employees and workers can scan equipment then you know who took it and what job it went on. Im very excited about our new add-on that weve developed or just get it done, and weve built integration really we can now connect RFID equipment straight into the software, it means its very easy for IRATA compliance it means that your inspection times are going to be severely reduced, it means that youre less likely to lose equipment because youve got traceability of where equipment has gone. I think its quite a game-changer for a lot of our users and I really look forward to showing you how it all works.
