25.01.2022 Were so proud of OMD Australia and all they are doing to Change the Ratio, and having worked with them can attest how absolutely authentic they are about their pledge. Really looking forward to the event!!!

25.01.2022 Flexible working gives us freedom over how we get work done rather than mandating hours inside of a desolate cubicle or in a noisy open floor plan. It encourages us to use our own judgment to determine what we work on, when we work on it, and where we do it. For the individual, it allows them control. For the organization, it helps increase worker morale, engagement, performance, productivity, and loyalty. But sadly, flexible working is a concept all too often misunderstood and more often than not, poorly practiced. https://buff.ly/2Esz596

24.01.2022 Thank you @Access4 for joining us in an effort to #pressforprogress on flexibility

24.01.2022 For many of us, work is still a place we 'go', and it hasn't shifted to something that we 'do'. The reality is that the good old fashioned paradigm of 9-5pm is just not fit for purpose anymore https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2Hk291KJR4

20.01.2022 Why do we need #flexibility to help equality and inclusion fly? In 2017, the WGEA changed their reporting requirements for the Employer of Choice (EOC) citation to include a clause stating that '....organisations MUST show that they hold managers accountable for implementing flexible work'. Are you that manager? Are you being accountable? Are you looking to achieve the EOC citation for your organisation? Reach out as we can help you get certified, but hurry the deadline is May 31. #flexforgenderequality #WGEA #employerofchoice #getbendy

19.01.2022 Did you realise that the average person now checks their phone 2,617 times a day, and at the extreme end, some users are checking in 5,427 times? Think about this for a moment. If you sleep just 6 hours a night, this only leaves 1,080 minutes in a waking day.. quite the digital umbilical cord. The Checky app will measure how often you are drawn to your phone so you can consciously decide whether or not you need to go there!

17.01.2022 Sometimes you need #flex because you have done some naval gazing and have found your life's purpose and you need the space and time to chase it. For others it is really hard to answer the question on what their purpose is. We love this blog on, at first, crazy questions to ask in looking for your purpose, written by the Mark Manson the author of "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F@ck"... https://markmanson.net/life-purpose See more

17.01.2022 Talk about being ahead of the game. Patagonia offers paternity leave and has provided quality on-site child care for over 30 years now. They are a brand that truly walks their talk. Businesses that provide paternity leave and encourage men to take advantage of it, earn employee loyalty, boost retention rates and have balanced, focused employees. Patagonia working fathers tell what Patagonias Great Pacific Child Development Center means to them. How it allows them to balance work and family, changes them as fathers, and how it can transform and balance gender roles. As one father said, Ill trade a surf session or a lunchtime soccer match for being able to just put my daughter down for a nap. It doesnt compare. Being able to provide for her on a daily basis and build that relationship has really built my confidence as a father.

16.01.2022 Just saw an absolutely heartbreaking piece on the drought and some predictions that things are not meant to get better until next winter. So Kate and Maja had a chat about what we can all do and the first two things that spring to mind are: 1. when you are hiring, for every role, - consider whether you can make it remote, and use someone like Pointer Remote Roles who specialise in finding roles for professional, remote workers around regional and rural Australia. In tim...e of financial strain, a lot of farmers will be looking for other sources of income, so if you have a role - project, part time, full time, etc that you think you just may be able to offer remotely, please consider this 2. if you have such a situation, but are unsure on how to set it up, how to manage it, how to make it a success Kate we will provide pro-bono advice/consulting and help in any way we can. Every little bit helps.... If you have any other ideas, let us know!!!

15.01.2022 Great article by Inc, and a lot of what we have been banging on about - remote workers, when they are that by choice can be more productive. What is even better is the awesome video by Tim Ferris at the end that gives you a playbook on how how to build a business case for remote work. Now, hopefully you are not in such an extreme situation that you have to give up a Saturday to build a business case, and can do it by collecting data through the week, but in either case, th...e approach is valid. And yes, negotiation is key - make sure you fully consider your boss' concerns, biases (conscious or unconscious) and the impact on the wider team and stakeholders before you go in, and pre-empt how you will deal with them.

06.01.2022 This is hilariously relatable. The 'conference call in real life' is an all too common experience and reinforces why it is so critical to communicate with intention, especially in a flex environment. Establish the preferences and "ground rules" for a conversation and work out the right tools & technology you need for the right context /circumstance to support this communication. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNz82r5nyUw

01.01.2022 Exercise is an awesome and important reason to work flexibly. Without a bendy schedule at work, it is just too hard to squeeze that key 3 times a week. And as we are massive fans of anything TED at Juggle Strategies we thought we would encourage you to go for it with this awesome talk. The best thing you can do for your brain is....exercise!
