24.01.2022 Today we delivered this gorgeous firepit to our wonderful clients Paul & Ruth. They have worked hard bringing to life this beautiful piece of paradise in the Adelaide Hills and we're very proud to be a small part of this project. The brief was simple, Paul & Ruth wanted a simple yet decorative firepit that reflected the beauty of the 80 year old oak that skirts their back portch. It really is huge and no doubt the showcase of the garden when in leaf (to be fair it's rather commanding in its dormant phase)! Designed and cut by hand in the J Hamilton Design studio, this piece is sure to be a talking point for many seasons to come

20.01.2022 My third piece in the Vector series - Swirl The last in this collection it was the most demanding of my attention and effort to maintain the meticulous level of continuity of each individual piece of rod. The shape pulls in so many directions its final form is deceivingly simple, like a brush stroke on a canvas. The final structure is fully galvanised to not only protect from the elements it also enhances the transparency and luminous intensity.... I wanted to create impact moments that also invited you to take a seat and pause within the surroundings of the sculpture. 18.01.2022 Glacier is the second sculpture from our Vector series as part of this years SALA Festival exhibition. A little nod to the environment in this piece. Did you know glaciers concentrate erosive action over an entire valley, widening its floor and steepening its walls to create U shape valleys vs the V shape carved by rivers. Glacier represents the beauty, strength and fragility in our environment. ... 1.8 meters in height and reinforced so you can sit and ponder, each length of bar has been hand shaped and meticulously welded into place before being fully galvanised to create this stunning look. These large steel sculptures incorporate elements of function within their design encouraging you to take a pew and become a part of the art. Pictured: The Snug... This unique sculpture with its organic form and inviting natural patina invites you in, to stop, unwind and escape the chaos. Don’t forget your green tea, mulled wine or bubbles! Each length of bar has been manually rolled and manipulated into shape by James with meticulous attention to detail. Fabricated from mild steel and reclaimed Oregon. 05.01.2022 With SALA Festival drawing to a close tomorrow, we'd like to say a massive thank you to Newmans Nursery for hosting our 2020 exhibition, 'Vector'. Jon, Dianne, Dan and the entire team at Newman's have been a tremendous support over the years and this year has been no exception. The nursery is a beautiful venue to exhibit and a wonderful destination for those on the festival trail, and plant lovers alike, so thank you for hosting! Those close to us know that it was a big decis...ion to invest in an exhibition this year, and with a large number if major events & markets cancelled for obvious reasons, HUGE kudos must go to Kate, Christina, Steph, Katya and the team at SALA for making this years SALA Festival event possible (and free) for hundreds of artists across South Australia. Like during the cooler months there’s nothing better than entertaining and spending time with family and friends around an open fire. It’s for these reasons we loved working on this project and the final results! Helping this A...delaide Hills family transform their outdoor entertaining area with a custom designed and fabricated fire-pit. At 1.6m x 1.2m this is a big statement piece but being custom designed it works perfectly in the space. We were also able to incorporate the Basket Range sandstone that is showcased around the property, helping to tie the fire-pit into its surroundings (yes we do stone too!). A slight upgrade from the local hardware fire-pit. This addition has created an entirely new space for the family to enjoy for many years to come.
