Carly starts maternity leave on the 11th December. We are all very excited for Carly and Jason and can’t wait to hear the news once baby Bell is born. Boy or girl? I wonder what they will have.

18.01.2022 Don’t forget the animals this Christmas! Just like us, animals should be spoilt over Christmas too. The Shepparton Animal Rescue & Rehoming are always on the look out for bedding, food, toys etc which JH & Co is a drop off point for. If you have cleaned out your old bedding or have an extra few dollars to go towards some can food, every little bit helps and is much appreciated.

Super Retail Group - owner of the Supercheap Auto, Rebel, BCF and Macpac brands - handed back $1.7 million in JobKeeper payments in January after releasing a trading update showing sales growth of 23% to December 2020. Toyota announced that it will return $18 million in JobKeeper payments after a record fourth quarter. And, Domino’s Pizza has also handed back $792,000 of JobKeeper payments. 04.01.2022 Just a reminder if you didn’t receive the JobKeeper extension 1, you can now retest for the JobKeeper extension 2. It covers the period from the 4th January 2021 to 28th March 2021 & will cover $1,000 per fortnight (before Tax) or $650 per fortnight (before Tax) depending on the Tier of your employee. 03.01.2022 JH & CO have a number of Orchard clients that have been hit hard by the shortage of seasonal workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a major issue due to the shortages of overseas workers, travel restrictions and also the JobSeeker/JobKeeper wages the unemployed are receiving. Victorian farmers are screaming out for workers as the shortage of workers threatens this years harvest. Our unemployment rate is at its highest and the agricultural sector has raised concerns that the increase in welfare payments is deterring people from actually getting out and working. What can we do? Simple, encourage people to have a go at these jobs or if you know of anyone looking for work, send them to some of the local Orchardist around the GV.
