16.01.2022 We are very proud to announce that our very own Professor Eliathamby Ambikairajah has won the People's Choice Award by a huge margin for his contributions to UNSW. The award was presented on 9th October 2019 by the President and The Vice-Chancellor of UNSW. Congratulations Prof. Ambi The UNSW President’s Awards recognise and celebrate individuals who excel by actively demonstrating UNSW’s five core values: Demonstrates Excellence, Displays Respect, Drives Innovation, Builds C...ollaboration and Embraces Diversity. The People’s Choice Award recognises staff members who go above and beyond in all five categories, as evidenced by the number of votes from all other UNSW staff members. 300 UNSW staff were finalists in these awards this year, and the People's Choice Award was selected based on votes from around 6000 staff across the entire university. Professor Ambikairajah won the People's Choice Award, by a huge margin, recognising his contribution to UNSW as the longest-serving Head of School in the Faculty of Engineering (2009-2019). 08.01.2022 We express our heartfelt condolences to family and friends of Jeyakanthan. Our current committee member, and Past President(2011)of the JHCOBA Sydney, Mr K Jeyakanthan, has passed away. The JHCOBA community is shocked and saddened by the untimely death of our dear member and friend, Jeyakanthan... He will be remembered for his humble, noble and kind personality and for his immeasurable contribution to our community. He was very well known for his wonderful capacity to listen, lead and be interested in all activities he was involved in. He was loved by many for his ready smile and ever present politeness. It is very hard to comprehend that he is no more of this world, but his memories will live with us and for generations Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. 04.01.2022 Annual JHC vs St John's OBA open and over 50 match were held at Henley Park Enfield today. JHC won both matches. Over 50 Masters JHC scored 203/9 and won by 70 runs Open team JHC scored 194/8 and SJC 79/10 JHC won by 115 runs
