17.01.2022 Zoe's Angels are holding our AGM tonight. We are looking forward to introducing our new and continuing Board Members.

14.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone, JAFA has negotiated with A Current Affair to do a story on juvenile arthritis to raise awareness of the nature of the disease and its implications for families, and the dreadful lack of services. ... The story is due to be screened this evening (Friday 20th) on Channel 9. I understand we will be able to access the link after the event and/or view the video on the Channel 9 website, so great if you could tell your constituents about it. I'm sorry for the late notice but only heard late yesterday that it is to be screened today.

09.01.2022 A new paper, funded by a grant from SJIA Foundation, about PAP (Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis) in SJIA patients is on pre-print servers: https://www.medrxiv.org//2021.01.20.21250141v1.full.pdf+ht One big takeaway is that PAP in SJIA is very different than other lung complications of SJIA. Some researchers call it SJIA-PAP (they find SJIA-LD) too general. Still others call it IL18-PAP-MAS since most of these patients have very high IL18 (can go up to hundreds of thousands),... and the distinctive PAP. For a long time, researchers have thought SJIA is probably a bunch of diff diseases. It is possible that SJIA-PAP or IL18-PAP-MAS is one of the first specific sub-diseases to be identified. This is overall a good development in the field, as treatment can be more customized based on what type of SJIA you have. Thank you for all the work you do through the SJIA Foundation, for the betterment of our kids Rashmi Thank you for sharing this xx

03.01.2022 For our Hypermobile/ EDS families. Here is a great video for the criteria for diagnosis. There are some differences between the Northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere but there are always clinical findings that are dependable globally.
