22.01.2022 Love this place! Its changed so much in the 10 or so years since I was here last. Boys especially loved the stockman show. It wasnt all showman like its counterpart on the coast. 21.01.2022 What a great weekend exploring the northern reaches of the Vic High country. It really was a choose your own adventure weekend with loads of tracks to take. We overnighted at Gibsons Hut and had the place to ourselves. This morning we took the track up to mt Pinnibar but the winds were so strong we couldnt get out of the car! It was a slow decent down into tom groggin and finished with a pretty hairy entry into the Murray River before hitting the Alpine Way bitumen. #4wding #vichighcountry #mtpinnibar #gibsonshut

But possible the best surprise was sampling dessert wines fit for first class passengers! Thats right people! These humble winemakers at the boutique Lillypilly winery have their desert wines on the first class wine list of Qantas, KLM and American Airlines!

07.01.2022 Happy new year to our Jiggety Jog family of followers! And thanks for all your likes comments and feedback. Weve been fortunate to have seen a good chunk of Australia this year and our lives are truly richer for it. 2018 will see us hit the road again exploring this great country. We have a ski trip and a weekend in Canberra planned so far but hope to hit the Victorian High Country and Snowy Mountians for 4WDing and swag camping. ... Mr Jiggety Jog wants to get over to Congo on the south coast of NSW, and we have some family commitments in the mid north of NSW too... gotta love destination weddings and family reunions! And to finish off the year and see in 2019 we are hoping to spend a month or so touring Tassie. Time will tell what unfolds for us. But in the meantime Id love to hear your travel plans! So, where are you headed or hoping to visit in 2018?

05.01.2022 Today we drove from Victor Harbor to Port Fairy. It was a big day! Drove past Lake Alexandria before taking a ferry across the Murray River at Wellington. Then we stopped for wine tasting in the Coonawarra. Learnt all about Australias only saint, Saint Mary MacKillop, in Penola. Then did a quick photo stop at the incredible Blue Lake in a volcano at Mt Gambier. Now to crack open a bottle of wine Tomorrow were catching up with friends who live nearby. We were in Port Fairy almost 12 years ago to celebrate their marriage! Its just as we remember and still one of my favourite towns in Australia!

04.01.2022 Love todays lunch spot! Lake Bonney in Barmera South Australia. Kids loved the park! I loved the lake views! Shame we had to ditch our fruit at the border. We did ditch fruit in NSW at the roadside bins and stocked up again in Mildura. But thats not good enough for SA quarantine!

03.01.2022 Just over 12 months ago my little family and I were exploring this region of Australia - we learnt much about their culture - from their artwork at a painting workshop in Uluru, to dreaming stories and visiting special sites like Tnorala Conservation Reserve and various places through the West McDonnell Ranges. Then, two years ago we were learning about Banjo Patterson and the town where he wrote this iconic song - Winton. This left me with goosebumps and wanting more. We definitely need more of it.
