25.01.2022 Good Evening Everyone !! This week we introduced something very exciting here at OOSH Every week we will be picking a new language for our children to learn more about! To kick things off our first Language chosen was Filipino On Monday morning Miss Aimee explained to all the children how to say Kamusta which means Hello. Every day we reminded the children of how to say hello in Filipino and it’s was a great response seeing the kids use it back to the staff and teach their friends who did not know Stay tuned for a new language next week

19.01.2022 Hey Everyone This afternoon we did a really cool water experiment We added food colouring to 3 different cups and had an empty cup in between. We hung a paper towel in between to join the cups and over time the water has absorbed creating a rainbow This was heaps of fun and enjoyed by lots of the kids !!!

16.01.2022 Evening Everyone!! In honour of NAIDOC , here at Caddies we wanted to do a craft a little different than usual.. We decided to incorporate dot painting on necklaces using natural materials such as paper and sand and the Aboriginal colours!! Our kids also practised their fine motor skills at the same time while cutting their necklace shapes! Here are some of our creations

16.01.2022 READY STEADY RACE! This afternoon we had our Jigsaw OOSH amazing race The kids were paired with their friends and had so much fun racing around the cola and hall trying to find all the clues!

15.01.2022 Our kids have absolutely loved our new archery set at the moment !!! It has been one of the highlight activities at OOSH and it something they want to do every afternoon They have been extremely careful and it has allowed them to work on their aim and focus

15.01.2022 This morning we did some foam carving here at OOSH! The kids were given foam balls of different sizes and the chance to carve whatever design they wanted A lot of our kids decided to go with Spooky designs in time for Halloween Some went with glitter , and we had one very creative girl who made some sushi out of the foam they had lots of fun doing this experience

06.01.2022 Hello Everyone! We had our awesome colour run here at Caddies Today we spent the morning grinding up our different coloured powders, and then we ran through and obstacle course while the teachers through the different colours at us we finished off the afternoon watching a movie to take a break from the heat

05.01.2022 This afternoon we did a really fun activity that taught the children how to draw a bunch of Indigenous symbols in the sand! The children followed off a diagram that had some common symbols and talked about how they were used to communicate to others. Miss Dee asked the kids how would you tell someone you were going to school if they didn’t know how to speak English and this challenged the children to come up with their own symbols to convey the message! It was a great learning experience for the children and they thoroughly enjoyed it

04.01.2022 What a way to finish off term 2 Glowstick disco party, whoop whoop !!! This term has certainly had its ups and downs but we would not have pulled through without everybody staying safe, so we thank you And a huge thank you all our educators who helped keep everything clean and safe for the children

03.01.2022 This morning the children at Caddies Creek OOSH jumped into our amazingly simple yet stunning art experiment. The children were challenged to create different illusions and patterns with the 5 colours of the original skittles. By pouring water, the colouring from each skittle came together, making for weird and fun visuals.
