25.01.2022 Be prepared for the heatwave this weekend. All your pets should have adequate shade and water and respite from the heat. If you own a dog with a short nose eg bulldog, pug etc, please leave them inside, preferably in air conditioning so they can stay cool. Look after yourselves and your pets.

24.01.2022 Bite levels give us important information regarding the intensity of the bite. There are various other factors as well such as age, frequency and most importantly the context of the bite. Consults for dogs with a bite history take time as we try to understand the variables involved such as medical, age, training history, manageability etc., and then look at the prognosis for the dog, both positive and negative.

08.01.2022 How many of us truly want to be social walking into a room full of strangers? Most adult dogs don’t want to be social with unknown dogs, they’d rather play with you or be a Stinky Dog!

05.01.2022 This is a really good way to adapt your dog to their triggers. Careful limited exposure, covering the crate so the dog has to lie down to see the triggers (horses) helps to reduce arousal. Scatter feeding, keeping the head down rather than scanning the environment and fixating on triggers is one of my go to's as well.
