25.01.2022 Due to government recommendations, at this time we will not be performing asymptomatic full body skin examinations. We are available to check any skin lesions/ spots of concern and are still performing essential skin cancer surgery. Those patients affected by these changes will be contacted in the near future.

24.01.2022 Our wonderful Dr Maria has decided to Chop for Charity The big chop will take place this Thursday. Dr Maria - We are so proud of you!!!... INFO: I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition. Ill be chopping off nearly 60cm in March 2019!! Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a childs youth. 22.01.2022 Today is World Melanoma Day and we would like to take the oppourtunity to remind everyone how important it is to get your skin checked. A skin clinic consultation at JJFP takes around 20 minutes and is bulk billed. We take extreme pride in our skin clinic and require all of our skin doctors to undergo further qualifications before holding consultations. A massive congratulations to Dr Emma who has completed ANOTHER post-graduate diploma - Professional Diploma of Dermoscopy.

22.01.2022 Our practice manager, Amy, kicked off our 2019 charity calendar with todays Biggest Morning Tea! Fun games and yummy food was a great way to spend a Thursday. Thank you to all the patients and staff who donated.

Because of your great work in following good hygiene practices, socially distancing and getting the flu shot, flu numbers this year are s...ignificantly lower than what they have been in the last five flu seasons and are 84% lower than this time last year! Research suggests that Queenslanders have greatly improved their hygiene practices, which has helped to stop the spread of flu in our community.

18.01.2022 JJFP is excited to annouce that our newest skin cancer doctor, Dr Misha, will be joining us this Friday 17th July. Dr Misha will be holding a skin cancer clinic session every Friday morning. Dr Linda has also extended her skin cancer clinic hours.... 15.01.2022 Today was full of mixed emotions... Our nurse, Carly, hosted a kids party for Red Nose Day. This involved wearing red, dressing up in fun costumes, eating plenty of fairy bread and raising money for an amazing cause. Today, however, was also Carlys last day with JJFP. We wish her all the best on her journey and cannot wait to continue watching her on her path to stardom!!!

05.01.2022 Queensland has 1 case of coronavirus (COVID-19) today. There are currently 11 active cases of COVID-19 in Queensland. Currently, 5 of the active cases are in ho...spital. To date, 1,069 people have recovered and sadly, 6 people have died of the disease. This brings the total number of cases to 1,088. Each day, total cases may not equal active plus recovered plus deaths, as information for some cases is still pending and will be updated in due course.Todays numbers include one case acquired interstate but is being managed in Qld. It is not included in total case numbers.
