25.01.2022 Free green waste drop off starts on the 23rd of November. Great time to clean up the gardens and get ready for summer!

24.01.2022 On Friday, The Courier, printed the Council Election Candidate Lift out. I urge you to be fully informed about who you may be voting for when the ballot packs come out this week. I am entirely self-funded, I am 100% independent and have never been aligned or affiliated with any political party. Every decision I will make, including the vote for Mayor, will be in the best interest of the Ballarat Community, and free from any conflicting political issues. I was born, raised a...nd then raised my family in Warrenheip, which gives me great knowledge and experience not only for Ballarat, but also in rural communities. I ran my own local business for over 20 years and I believe I can bring common sense, strong work ethic, leadership and integrity back to council. All communities need to be supported and I commit to being your voice for your community. Please vote 1 Jim Rinaldi Article credit - The Courier

21.01.2022 Ballarat Central library is having some work done. It will open again in another week, but it should look fabulous.

21.01.2022 Last week I attended the South Ward Candidate Forum held by the Ballarat Times News Group. Many thanks to the residents who sent in questions, my fellow candidates for attending and also the Ballarat Times News Group for facilitating the event. I have attached my opening statement from the forum for you to have a look at. As ballot packs are now arriving in letterboxes, it's important that you are fully informed about who you are voting for, what they stand for, how they wil...l represent you for the next four years and lastly if they are a member of and/or endorsed by a political party. Don't be afraid to ask any questions of the candidates before you vote. Please - Vote 1 Jim Rinaldi - Your South Ward Independent candidate. Authorised by Jim Rinaldi, 1086 Eureka Street, Warrenheip Please vote - Jim Rinaldi

19.01.2022 Tune in from 5.30pm today and see the South Ward Candidates, including myself, speaking. Vote 1 - Jim Rinaldi

18.01.2022 On the 18th of May, Councillor Amy Johnson, suggests that "those Councillors who chose not to vote to terminate the CEO's employment will need to answer to our community." Further media articles have also stated that I was voting for a further investigation into the Ombudsman report rather than Ms Linley's immediate removal (The Courier, Wednesday May 20, page 3 & Ballarat Times, Thursday 21st of May, Page 3). This is incorrect information. In today's Courier newspaper, Councillor Grant Tillett, Councillor Samantha McIntosh and myself "answer to our community" as to why we made the choice we made - in our words. Please see below for the article.

18.01.2022 With thanks to the Buninyong and District Community Association for conducting such a wonderful candidate forum last week. These forums have been a fabulous way to reach out to residents in such trying times. I have attached a copy of the footage and what I stand for. As ballots are hitting letterboxes, please ensure you are fully informed on who your candidates are, what they stand for, what they will do for you this election and if they are a member, affiliated or endorsed... by any political party. If you have any questions or queries you'd like to ask me, please give me a call on 0417130869 Please vote 1 Jim Rinaldi Authorised by Jim Rinaldi, 1086 Eureka Street, Warrenheip

17.01.2022 Stage 3 restrictions are now upon us again. Here is a quick breakdown sheet of what these entail. Please remember to wash your hands regularly, maintain social distancing if you need to go out for one of the 4 reasons, and wear a mask. If you have any symptoms, please get tested. We are lucky to have two testing clinics here in Ballarat and make sure you isolate before and after your test until results are through. Stay safe!

14.01.2022 Thank you to everyone for all your hard work and support of Covid-19 restrictions. We are incredibly lucky to have such wonderful businesses and resources manufactured and sourced locally. It's so important, now more than ever, we continue to support our local businesses. Please stay safe and maintain social distancing and good hygiene. We will get through this.

04.01.2022 On Wednesday it was our last public Council meeting as a Councillor group for this term. The current pandemic has seen us move to online meetings and it certainly has been a learning experience for us all to adapt to whether it be with schooling, working, and, even staying in touch with loved ones. Caretaker mode commences from Tuesday at midday and ballot papers are due to commence mail ours on the 6th of October. Thank you for all your support, it has been an absolute pleasure. I will be nominating again for South Ward in hopes for another four years as your elected Councillor. I still have plenty more to give back to the community and Ballarat as a whole. Take Care. Authorised by Jim Rinaldi - 1086 Eureka Street, Warrenheip.
